Sustainable?

Remind me how much clubs get for promotion? I seem to remember reading £170-200m if they get rlegated again and more if they stay up, without ticket price rises and a sold out stadium for every home game?

I assume the owners are just happy to pocket that and take their chances with the current squad having invested about 10% of it on new players?

It's the business model adopted by clubs like Norwich.

Saints fan here. Hope that you find someone who can galvanise your players and squad and start getting a few points on the board. Other teams have come back from 9 goal defeats and not been relegated (twice smile ) and your players will certainly pick themselves up this week and hopefully the caretaker boss can get a lot from them
Good luck

The club has a new owner, hopefully Max will see a return on his incredible investment, what a journey.

Wondering if Gary O’Neil should be given a go for the rest of the season, seems to have steadied the ship well since Parker departed.

A bit of a wibble from our Gary but we're stuck in the middle of a takeover so seemingly can't get anyone in.

He's made sub strange subs and tactical decisions in the last three games, the latest yesterday when 2 up against Spurs...took off Billing and we capitulated, sat far too deep and invited the onslaught.

That said I'm not unhappy with our points total and performances bearing in mind we were odds on to go down. We're really waiting on the takeover to be finalised, hopefully in time to dip big time into the Jan transfer market.

Let’s see where things are in January, realistically who would we have in place of GON anyway?

Great result Saturday. The BOTN match day vlog podcast is one of the best ever.

Sam is brilliant.

I was there Saturday, mayhem when the winner went in, fantastic. Fair play Gary O'Neil, we're not quite there yet mind, fingers crossed.

Fantastic game, and satisfying given the stoppage time loss in the home game against Spurs back in Oct.

5 or 6 more points should do it?

36 with a good GD, 37 without IMO.

I reckon you'll be fine.

Got to be safe now! Hopefully we can pinch three points from an out of form Chelsea next weekend to put us fully out of reach

Amazing. I've done the last three aways, Leicester, Spurs and ' them down the road' and three victories, which is a first at this level. Thurs was brilliant for various reasons. We'll have bragging rights over our quite patronising close neighbour who seem hell bent on getting there 'proper derby' with Pompey.

Today was nuts. A typical Leeds performance where they could have scored 5 but have a defence who play like 9 year olds who simply can't concentrate on the job in hand.

Gary O’Neill just been sacked, didn’t see that happening after he kept them up… so who next?

That's very harsh. I'm curious who they have lined up. I hope it's someone that they feel is better and not someone like Lampard.

I’d put money on Potter, don’t want Gerrard either.

Potter would be a good choice. I thought Gerrard was going to Saudi Arabia?

Gerrard is in the same category as Lampard.

What a ridiculous decision after he kept you up last season. Surely he deserved a chance this coming season too?

If you swap him for Lampard then you're definitely going down this season.
