There's not too many of us upset with this sacking / appointment. We fully appreciate the job O'Neil did but deep few of us thought he was a potential long term prospect in line with new owners ambitions. At times we witnessed some absolute dross then some incredible results but the performances were all over the shop.
It's a difficult one but clearly the owner wants to get the right man in, give him a pre season and spend big in the transfer market to suit the managers philosophy. Sadly O'Neil was still finding his feet in the regard whereas Iraola seems to be very highly regarded.
The opening fixtures are horrendous so will be a baptism of fire but Iraola turned over some big teams last season including Real Madrid and Barcelona twice the year before.
Lets see how it pans out.

It does sound like a risky move. He's had some giant killings in the cup and the league games, but nothing stand out overall.
The year he gained promotion from the Spanish second division with Rayo Vallecano they only finished 6th and came through the playoffs. They finished 11th in La Liga where some people argue doesn't have strength in depth.
He doesn't sound like a headliner manager that you had to sack your manager for.

Absolutely mad game at B’mth tonight, replay of the Luton game that got cancelled because of Lockyer collapsing. Luton 3-0 up at half time, Bournemouth an unmitigated shambles defensively, they no doubt got their ears chewed off at half time, result 4-3 to B’mth Luton were as bad in the second half as B’mth were in the first. Great to watch but both teams can’t defend for toffee. Toughe on Luton as they probably deserved at least a draw, but were way too gung-ho after the break.

Terrible game management is what will see Luton relegated, concede far too many goals, especially when they are ahead.Edited by Cupramax on Wednesday 13th March 21:38
I think that result just about keeps Bournemouth up, I doubt Luton are gonna get 14 out of a remaining 30 points. Another win or a couple of draws will definitely seal it, think they've done well this season, expected them to be nearer the drop.
Went the cup game the other week and that Lewis Cook was a tidy little player, his set piece deliveries were so good.

I was there as usual. Great game, chucking Dango at left back with Sini in front of him was a howler from AI. I know Dangos played there a couple of times but Sinisterra isn't great cover. Edited by Cupramax on Wednesday 13th March 21:38
Tav sorted all of his wrongs out of late with that second half performance and good to see Tyler Adams come on.
Comfortably safe now, lets get started on that new stadium next year, the new training ground / Academy looks very impressive.
