wenger isnt leaving imo so this is all hypothetical. as far as hes concerned hes doing great.
I don't think he'll be leaving either, and yes, I think the owner and board are scared stless of what to do, if by some miracle he decides to walk at the end of the season. AW gives them exactly what they want, and I bet they are bricking it that someone else coming will be demanding this, that and god knows what else, that they just have not had to deal with for years.I'm not even sure despite what people here belief, that we are that much of an attractive proposition anymore? If you were an ambitious manager, would you want to come to a club whose owner has publically stated that winning trophies is not the priority?
I certainly wouldn't!!

i see your point, however this ancient affliction that is AW has made us gooners suffer from severe tunnel vision. someone ambitious looking from the outside in would see the upside potential especially coupled with security and spending power that wenger has had for the last 5 years.
even a schoolboy would know not to go to an elite CL team and attack and try and win it there. or that you do need a few leaders on a pitch. experience is all well and good IF you learn from your mistakes.

Really getting a bit cheesed off at the abuse Arsene Wenger is getting , surely he doesn't deserve the ste he's been subject too.
What top flight manager would want to go to a club with such toxic fans. ( not all of you i know )
FA Premier League (3): 1997–98, 2001–02, 2003–04
FA Cup (6): 1997–98, 2001–02, 2002–03, 2004–05, 2013–14, 2014-15
FA Community Shield (5): 1998, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2014, 2015
You ungrateful so n so's .
The "so n sos" wouldnt be quite so vocal if we saw a bit of fire in the players bellies in a big game, a bit of fight, a bit of nasty and nouse when required, at least defending astutely when we come up against a better team rather than gung ho and getting reamed like last week. The blatantly obvious holes in the squad which never get filled despite 100's of millions in the bank, Wenger losing his rag on the touchline occasionally like he actually cares. Its just the pathetic spineless folding under pressure thats gone on pretty much since we moved into the Emirates.
If all of the above didnt happen over and over again none of this would be an issue.

Theo Walcott.
Finally gets his century, and no message under his top? No celebration to mark the achievement? Why? Because 10 goals a year over a decade is actually not that much of an achievement is it! Take away his pace and there isn't much to talk about.
Average player.
I've always believed him to be an athlete and not a footballer. If there's a decision to be made on the pitch, more often than not, he doesn't make one. Finally gets his century, and no message under his top? No celebration to mark the achievement? Why? You don't even see him use his pace much (partly because of the way the team is set up or the lack of space behind the lines). He didn't look very good tonight; did nothing special; didn't terrify even that Downer bloke... and to be the captain for the night, searching for his 100th goal... Glassman said:

I think that is a bit unfair. He has scored 100 in 366 games where he has hardly played up front. Bergkamp scored only 87 in 315 - more or less the same strike rate. Yes he outruns the ball, close control is suspect, but still not a bad return.

I don't need to underline yet again for what feels like the millionth time why he should leave.
His time is up end of story. He needs to move on and so do the club.

I giggled a little when Lucas scored that lucky shot, two minutes later Theo remembered you can score a goal by kicking the ball at it and put one over. t!t.Finally gets his century, and no message under his top? Maybe it's a thing of the past, or perhaps AW has put blocks on any of that kind of stuff.Theo looks like he's been for hypnosis sessions. He spends his time on the pitch looking focused, almost like a programed robot. Yes, he bangs a goal in every now and then but can he dribble? Does he have a touch? Does he knock the ball into space behind defenders?
Or is he a decoy?

i think IF he has confidence and we play a system to suit him he could be one of the most clinical at the club. may as well play in def mid, im guessing AW hasnt tried that one yet eh?
