Well the first bid is never going to happen...but according to the FT there are a couple of other parties interested. You also have to ask yourself how it became public...wasn't Kronke that is for sure. That leaves someone at the club or Usmanov...whoever it was doesn't want this to die and some pressure to be put on Kronke. Be interesting to see what the crowd's reaction is at the Everton game. Timing couldn't have been better if you want to unsettle the club....it's the 100% bona fide perfect excuse for players not to extend contracts and Wenger might want clarity too (that's obviously rather controversial),,,and whilst this is brewing might make it hard to sign the really big names.

I'd so fking love to see the back of Kronke. Whether Usmanov is the right custodian/owner I don't know but Kronke has allowed an awful corporate culture to develop.

It might actually be the right time for Kronke financially he's certainly not going to invest money and whilst Arsenal have a lot more money than all but three teams in the league they also have a significant amount less than those three. All you need is another party to transform a club like Chelsea and Man City have and Arsenal fall back.

That could well be Everton - and with Usmanov if his bid to buy out Silent Stan doesn't happen. Usmanov bought out Moshiri's shares, who then used that to invest it in Everton. Moshiri and Usmanov are still mates, and rumour is Moshiri has been trying to get Usmanov to sell his shares in us and join up with him at Everton.
I could see that happening if he feels he can't get control of Arsenal from Silent Stan....

One of his companys sponsors Finch Farm Everton's training ground. I'm sure I've read something about him supplying the steel for the new ground too. I'd love him to sell up at Arsenal and come join Moshiri at Everton biggrin

To me it all smells of pressure tactics. The bid was made a month ago with no response, so the next step was public pressure. As you mentioned I would love to see the back of Stan.

I think it is time arsenal realized that the 'lets build a big stadium to earn cash' tactic became obsolete when Chelsea were bought out. Even more so when City got big.The club desperately need a new direction and I am desperately hoping this is it. Sadly, it won't. If Stan wanted to sell he would have done so when the offer first came in - not now. Uzi is throwing a hissy fit to make Arsenal life hard.

I hope I am wrong though.

So today is the day if results go to form Arsenal for the first time in a number of years won't be qualifying for the CL.
Bit like waiting to go to the dentist really knowing at the end of it it will be for the better.....hopefully.

Or the dentist might suggest leaving it alone for two years to see how things develop before opting for an implant.

Image backing a manager who makes a side with Ozil and Sanchez WORSE than one with Bendtner and Squillaci...

Chatting to a friend last night who edits the FA Cup final program and other stuff for the FA, and recently had to visit the Arsenal and Chelsea training grounds for interviews and photo shoots for the program.
He asked Chelsea for Matic, Cahill and Luiz and all turned turned up on time, said hello and shook hands with the journalists, photographers etc. Couldn't be more helpful and answered all the questions.
He asked Arsenal for Ozil, Sanchez and Cech (remember this is for the fans) and the club said you can interview Wenger, Moreal and Gibbs. Gibbs was late, didn't give a st and seemed bemused why the club had offered him forward when he is off in the summer and has played hardly anything this season. Monreal turned up 30mins late and straight away asked how long it would take and moaned when my mate said it might be an hour with all the photos.

Also he noticed when Chelsea plays came in from training they seemed a real close knit group, but Arsenal looked very splintered and not close at all.

He said every looks at Arsenal and says great team at times but you always get the feeling they don't really care on and off the pitch.

Arsenal is in dire overdue need of a complete massive shakeup.

I hoped that we would have made top 4 somehow and we even managed 3-1 with 10 men. However too little too late.

However we needed top drop the top 4 I think in order to have a real change and shake up, the team is disjoined, Ozil and Sanchez need their contracts sorting and we need to replace Cazorla as we are feeling the loss of him not present!

However, it should start with Kroenke out first and foremost. If we start there it will begin to change, new players are needed too. Only then will things begin to get better.

At least now we don't have CL it'll really give the board a massive shake up and some spending will need to take place this summer.

In a weeks time we will either win the FA Cup and Wenger will leave and take that as his leaving on a high (he wanted to win the league again but that didn't happen)

Or we will lose the FA Cup and he may walk anyhow. Which despite all is a shame, If anyone should go it should be Kroenke out, yes Wenger has a lot to be responsible for, however I blame the players.

We've seen it before with Chelsea under Mourinho before he was sacked, and with Leicester and Claudio. Arsenal players showed the same and should be ashamed.

They are the one's on the pitch and yes, on far too many occasions this season they have not been fit to wear the shirt.

Time to make some solid buys this summer too.

I don;t know why you think Kroenke will leave, he owns a profitable asset that is increasing in value, regardless of whether Wenger is there

He will only sell if someone offers him what he considers a good price for his stake.

I suspect he will invest in the squad as to not do so may result in further seasons outside the CL, reduced revenue and a diminution of his asset value

It's st or get off the pot time for Kronke....all he's said according to press reports is "he won't sell to Usmanov" i..e if these other two parties do materialise he might sell to one of them.

It's clear the hung shareholder structure isn't working Kronke either needs to sell or buy out Usmanov....doing nothing isn't an option. Arsenal's valutation is very high because of the club's financial position....that financial position will be worse next year and there's no guarantee CL football will be back for the season after.

Cleverly timed by Usmanov....season ticket renewals are due out any day....and there are quite obviously 20,000 of them not too bothered about them. They will have to be very careful about how they price Europa League games....if it's too punchy I think it'll make a lot of people give up their tickets.

What is Kronke doing wrong? He lets the manager run the club and gives him money to spend...surely it's the manager who is the problem, not the owner?!

Could be said that Kronke keeps giving Wenger £8.5 mil every year for below par performances but doesn't mind as long as the club keeps making £££ which is basically sticking two fingers up to the fans who make him that money.
As I said before if Kronke and Wenger decide to stay and the quality of football stays the same the cost of season tickets and refreshments should at least be halved from their current prices to reflect this.

Arsenal Football Club is divided on the pitch, in the stands and in the board room.

For this club to move forward firstly we need to resolve the issues at board level. Kroenke has no interest in the club other than milking it financially, somehow we need him forced out and I suspect Usmanov is going to have to offer a staggering financial package to get rid of him.

If we could get rid of Kroenke and bring in Usmanov then I think there is a possibility that Dein could return, however my only concern about that is Dein will be 70 at his next birthday and does he still have the hunger or desire to do it?

Finally, we need to get Wenger out. He's a vile individual who treats everyone with utter contempt. He still has support inside The Emirates yet he didn't have the guts or respect to go round the pitch at the end of the game. However, I'll guarantee he'll be there to milk it next week if we somehow pull off a miracle against Chelsea.

Wenger is disorganised, arrogant, stubborn, selfish, egotistical, and dictatorial, his attitude is abhorrent. He's dismissive of everyone , the fans, the media when they try and challenge him. He's a thoroughly nasty piece of work who is only interested in Arsene Wenger.

Surely Usamanov is also primarily interested in the financial returns (albeit he may have greater on field ambitions) so he's never going to pay over the odds?
