Looks like Wenger has his eye on Mahrez.

Fits the Wenger mould.... a player who comes in and out of games, has enough skill to change a game, but doesn't work hard enough for the team. We already have an Ozil!

Yep, not needed nor good enough, his form early this season was partially responsible for Leicesters collapse. As said we have quite enough players who go from world beaters to inept from week to week without yet another.

Agree. If Sanchez does go, Bayern looks like the obvious place IMO. Wenger talking about Mahrez might be him lining up someone to slot straight into the vacancy.

I said at least 6 months ago that Sanchez would go this summer, and I always thought BM would be his most likely destination, with PSG or Juve an outside bet.

I see AW has been quoted as telling the fans to expect no more than 2-3 signings this summer, and BBC Gossip pages this morning is claiming he's got £150m to spend, but presumably, that's net spend, and we've got to be looking at getting £35m+ for Alexis..?

At a more basic level, one of my best friends who has been a season ticket holder since the mid-70's sent me a txt yesterday saying he's seriously considering not renewing his season ticket for next season....which is something I never thought I would hear him say, as he was born within a mile of Highbury and his late father had barely missed a home game since 1947 up until he was too ill to go anymore in the early 2000's.

Mahrez isn't half the player that Sanchez is. You should be breaking the bank to keep him. He truly is a world class footballer.

Looks like a decent addition and was apparently in the Bundesliga team of the year. Looks to be a bit of a unit too which is something we could do with more of. Gibbs off by the look of it.....I wonder how much of that English core that all signed contracts together a few years ago will be left at the end of the summer

Jenkinson - probably gone
The Ox - sounds like he might stay
Walcott - hard to see a place for him in the new system and would still fetch decent money
Wilshere - Hard to see getting decent money for him with injury record so I think he gets a new contract in the hope he can be even 70% of the player he looked he could be when he was 18.

Rumour is a deal has been done to sell Szczesny to Juve for £14m.

As mentioned, it will be interesting to see what they do with Wilshire, he's hardly saleable, although I'm sure there would be a few lower PL teams (and Championship ones) that would risk it if he was on a free?

How long has he got left on his contract?

One year left I believe.

BM have signed Gnabry and some are saying we should be happy because it means the Germans have relaxed their pursuit of Sanchez.

According to BBC gossip pages this morning....roflrofl

Manchester City are ready to reduce their £16m asking price for 29-year-old France midfielder Samir Nasri because of a lack of interest.

Surely they won't offer him another four-year deal or something - that would be mad ... he's not even that good when fit. Bournemouth was more his level where he fitted in nicely when he played ...

And to be honest, he didn't exactly shine there. If he was as good as we all thought he was (hoped) he wouldn't have disappeared without trace into that team, which is basically what Shearer and a few others said on one of the last MoD's.

And yes, IMHO we'd be mad to give him another contract. If he does leave next summer on free, I'll be astonished, as I can't see many clubs be willing to actually pay money for him.
Shame.

The way Wilshere's career has gone is a crying shame....had all the talent in the world as an 18 year old. I think he'll struggle to get an offer anywhere near what he wants in terms of wages and suspect he might get offered a contract so that the club can retain some value.
