It's just that most of us are just sick of watching the same mistakes over and over again. Much the same going forward, team that sits back and we spend the entire game trying to walk the ball in through the centre of their defence, first time we try a decent cross, oh look, a goal, what A fking surprise. Who'd have ever thought of doing that smash
That's fair, I was getting irrationally angry at the TV at yet another backwards pass followed by a sideways one.

It's a shame, it was a great offensive display against Utd (less said about the defence the better) and a good all round performance against Spurs.

Ah well. I guess I'll do the normal Arsenal fan thing and just hope the right players are bought and somehow it all gets turned around.

As I'm new here, am I to assume the general consensus is that Wenger isn't particularly liked? You never really know and I'd rather not get into an argument whistle

Wenger was liked a great deal and had a lot of success. Time and football have moved on but he hasn't, and many of us feel he should have gone some time ago before his reputation was tarnished for ever. Until he retires apathy rules i fear. I say that sadly as a gooner of almost 50 years too.

Thank you!

I've only been watching football since the last world cup and sort of had a moment a couple of months ago where I realised I wasn't actually a neutral, I was a Gooner biggrin

If we can all chip in a fiver, perhaps Southampton could employ some ball boys.....

Can’t help who you like eh?

Maybe I’ll be alive long enough to see them win a Prem title again.

Is it appropriate for you to be the welcoming committee on the Gooner thread?

No harm in welcoming a new poster on the football forum.

Even if i am a Spurs fan.

I don't see what the problem is TBH.

I appreciated the welcome, so thank you. I'm such a new fan I haven't really had time to get a handle on the Arsenal-Spurs rivalry anyway, other than I know it exists. I'm not a very tribal person anyway, I just like watching good football.

Chelsea's "Managerial Appointment Committee"

Spurs "Salary Review Committee"

Gooners "Defensive Plan Committee" (only meets once every 3 years)

Steven N'Zonzi?

Good signing if true.

Thank Christ for that. What with Chelsea v Barca & Spurs v Juve, at least the Ar5e can give London a tasty European tie to savour.

May give us a bit more in the physical aggro dept, but is he going to win us the league, it really shows how much that we've fallen when Ozil and Sanchez are going one way and there's talk of N'Zonzi going the other. I've watched a few Sevilla games and not really seen anything exceptional from him.
