I think tonight is the first time I just can’t be bothered to watch an Arsenal game. Just not worth the hassle until the club shows a glimmer of ambition. Sad really.

FFS, its a semi final, Chelsea have put out a virtually full strength side. Le Fraud has no Ozil whatsoever and Sanchez on the bench rolleyes FFS

Iwobi and Welbeck in there with Laca... Christ what is he thinking?

He's lost his marbles completely, this represents a chance of some god damn silverware and he isn't taking it seriously.

It doesn't matter anyway, City will win it so why waste time. 2nd to 6th in the league is going to be very competitive.

2nd to 5th will be competitive .....we will be 6th (by a country mile) the other four haven't to look over their shoulders for us, Everton Leicester, watford and Burnley are our competition for a lesser Europe again.
We have dropped to the third tier in this league.
Sorry state of affairs

Oh FFS. "Le Fraud" now? Wenger has better credentials that most in the Premier League to be managing a top flight club.

Its usually referred to as 'living on past glories'......

What was it, 3 years ago, AW stated that he would win the PL again within 2 seasons......and in that same period, we've probably been further away from it that at most times in the previous 10 seasons......

Its sad, that for many he's tainted his own legacy, but, AF knew when to quit while you're ahead, but AW has looked like the bewildered punch-drunk old boxer that still thinks he can win the world title even when they are clearly over the hill.....

I see the Italian press are claiming that Ancelotti has already signed a 4 year deal with us to replace AW at the end of this season...scratchchin

Arsenal finished 2nd season before last and have won 3 FA Cups in 4 years.

Tainted legacy or ungrateful fans...

They looked good when they beat us the other week.

The 2nd place was only because everyone else fell on their own sword as they were all between 'eras'.....and should have been the perfect opportunity to win the PL for first time in a decade..........but he still couldn't do it.

Yes, the FA Cup success was nice, no argument with that, and was his perfect chance to go out on a high after getting the first trophy for many years.
But no, the stubborn old git, just thought it was the path to former glories again, and hence his delusion claim of winning the PL again within 2 years.

AW is not the sole problem at the club by any stretch, and just replacing him isn't going to be solution to all our ills by any stretch.
Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with the other problem areas, even if AW leaves at the end of the season, and I certainly don't expect miracles from however turns out to be his successor.
I'm beginning to think that the only reason he's stuck around was his personal desire to overtake AF's record of time/matches as manager rolleyes

They played chelsea off the park in the cup final too. Imagine what they could do with the crowd behind them.

There's no arguing that on the day Arsenal can do it but watch them week in, week out and every game is a banana skin with the same old failings and short comings. And these games where it does click are becoming fewer and farther inbetween.

Suspect your dig at "ungrateful fans" is a poor attempt at trolling. No Arsenal fan is ungrateful for what AW has done for the club but like most walks of life, things change, the game has moved on, and he isn't up for taking us forward and hasn't been for a number of years. And whilst there has been a few games at the Grove where the fans have turned in the majority of games they are behind the team.

As for finishing 2nd a few years ago, that was absolutely nothing to shout about as we never challenged for the title when it mattered and only finished ahead of Spuds because they gave up the ghost after losing the title at Chelski and collapsed in the final few games.

Quite. Almost the opposite of Liverpool. Our fans have propelled our team on to win games we've had no right to win.

Stick Arsenal in that final in Istanbul and the stadium would have been emptying to the sounds of boos and Wenger Out chants at half time.

They wouldn't have waited that long, their blind hatred of their greatest ever manager over rules everything, they even boo'd him whilst winning the NLD, its beyond belief

Arsene has systematically ruined his own reputation, ably assisted by Kroenke and Gazidis. They have taken the opportunity that the new stadium gave us and royally fked it up on a monumental scale to the stage where we are now, in that our top players won't sign new contracts with us and we can't recruit anyone half decent as we are virtually a laughing stock with the weakness and lack of character shown by the entire team including the management and board.

It'll be interesting to see how the Ox gets on at Lpool and Theo assuming he moves on too as they are very much AW era players. I still have my suspicions that for whatever reason AW is not getting the best out of the players that he has at his disposal. Not sure if you have followed Szzzzzzzcezzzzzzzzny at Uve but he is being hailed as the natural successor to Buffon and has turned in some great performances this season. Where was that at Arsenal? Like Theo and the Ox there were flashes of a player in there but the finished article looked a long way off.

As for Kroenke and Gazidis..............there is nothing to add that hasn't already been said about the board on this forum. furious
