You've won the he FA cup twice in the last five years....
But it would be nice to see those performances transfer into the League. When was the last time Arsenal realistically challenged for the title? Forbes list the club as the 6th most valuable in the world, and every other club in the top ten (except Spurs, ninth) challenges for their domestic League titles regularly as well as going a long way in the CL.
Young talents seemingly going to waste, a team that has no spine, increasingly worse results this season, players on the way out and no big names on the way in, it's really hard to think about the (undoubtedly brilliant) FA cup success at the moment. Same with top four, yes it's been amazing to get it so consistently for such a long time but when nothing comes of it except the odd embarrassment against the likes of Bayern, what's the point of it? To get money that we won't spend?

Our owner is the 8th biggest landowner in the USA.............
Land isn't cashIts only just over a year since he bought a 535,000 acre (yes that is 535 thousand acres!) ranch in Texas for $725m to add to his already significant land portfolio.

But he's buying up a lot of it........and I doubt its all on 100% mortgages

Makes me sick. We've become a complete laughing stock as a result of the actions of the board, parted and present. Its only just over a year since he bought a 535,000 acre (yes that is 535 thousand acres!) ranch in Texas for $725m to add to his already significant land portfolio.

Soooooo...... Ozil and Sanchez gone, Aubameyang and Malcom incoming?
I'd be surprised if Aubameyang comes.......I know he wants out of BD and wants to come to the PL, but not sure he'll come to us, but stranger things have happened. Am surprised Chelsea didn't try and get him last summer, but maybe his agents demands are too unrealistic? It looks like that's what may have scuppered Sanchez's move to City?
If Sanchez and Ozil both go to Utd, then I think the rumours of Mkhitaryan coming the other way as part of the deal is more likely...?
I don't think whoever comes in/out is actually going to make much difference anyway, our problems go much deeper than that.

Dont know how you could moan at that, they would be two great signings for any club.
No moaning here, chap. Just picking up on the talk around the media. That said, I'm a Gooner and the club gives us plenty to moan about. aeropilot said:

Mkhitaryan seems plausible as he's 'a name' and Wenger might feel the player will have something to prove. It looks like that's what may have scuppered Sanchez's move to City?

If there is no pressure on the manager to succeed, then there won't be much pressure on the players either. Which is why you see performances like yesterday. They are still talented players as evidenced by the occasional victory in the bigger games but they aren't being pushed and neither are the pushing themselves. Clearly a lot of the players are unable to motivate themselves and the management isn't motivating them either. It appears to be a toxic culture running through the club that less than 100% performances are acceptable.
So if you were Malcolm, what would you hope to achieve at Arsenal? Do they have a recent track record of nurturing talent and markedly improving players? Does he even know who the manager will be in 6 months time? What vision of his future has been sold to him? Call me cynical but I can only presume that he sees his future with a wodge of cash and Arsenal have offered the most. As for Aubameyang, I hardly see Arsenal as much of a step up from Dortmund. I expect there would be a lot of teams interesting in signing him, so you'd again have to wonder why he would choose Arsenal.
Ox has been terrific since we signed him..couple of games to be going buy really taking it on now and enjoying his central position...klopp has told him he wants goals and assists from him which he is doing (3 already, what was his best in a season under Wenger?)
His pressing and speed is brilliant with how we counter too

From what I've read this morning, Arsenal isn't his first choice, but it seems, no one else is that interested in him, maybe see him as toxic?
His missed this weekends game due to an off-pitch disciplinary issue it seems, so the PL clubs with some sense perhaps don't want to touch him?
If that's true, then I can definitely see him at the Emirates next season......
