Really, as a United fan I can't wait to have a peek at your European Cups section. LudaMusser said:
Mother's Ruin; have you considered a stadium tour? I've done it and it was really good. You get to walk through the changing rooms and go down the tunnel to the pitch as well as going up to the director's box and you can also look around the museum opposite the stadium.

Good shout. I did this a few years ago with my son, you can do the normal tour or the “Legends”tour, we had Charlie George who was superb and given your Dad’s age and having proper memories of ‘71 could be good!We have a museum with all of our silverware unlike spurs LMAO
Have to say I am liking the transfer business/the way it feels like things are changing. We seem to have bought a couple of players in our new CB and RB who have a bit of “attitude” this is good. Torreira is the first proper DM I think we’ve signed since Gilberto (who stayed more than 5 mins) which is amazing in itself....Leno I have no idea about but clearly Ospina needed to go. I also really liked what I saw of Mavrapanos at the end of last year, think he could be really, really good.
You also have to like how the World Cup has fallen for Arsenal, lots of our players didn’t go and some of the ones that did (Ozil) came home early. Contrast that with Spurs, Man City et al and the clusterfk that is Chelsea and there’s a chance we could actually start the season with some momentum. No last minute trolley dash!
Last piece of the jigsaw is the club need to be aggressive in managing exits and on contracts. Much as I love Ramsey if he hasn’t signed in two weeks time he has to be sold.
Lots of familiar names who need to go Campbell, Jenkinson, Perez (or Welbeck), Ospina etc

Genuinely excited about the forthcoming season. Not because we have a team of superstars, but because we seem to have addressed a number of shortfalls that have always bitten us on the arse for so long. If Emery can get a tune out of the squad I think we'll do pretty well.
Yes, on paper we don't have the best squad and we're unlikely to compete with Citeh, but we have done very sensible business, early. We're a club that (sensibly) doesn't depend on the whims of rich benefactors, and with that model in mind we've done the best we can with the resources we can safely spend.
About time.

The only problem last year was the sloppiness away from home, only City had a better home record yet we were 11th away!, even my local team Bournemouth had better away form. Sort out the general merde around the camp entirely down to the whole back room staff previously being far too comfortable, and that rubbing off on the squad and I think we’ll be fine.
Not sure if I’m entirely enamoured with the buying we’ve done, I doubt we’ll know until a few months into the season, but at least they’ve got it done early. Fingers crossed for a positive year.

Arsenal absolutely destroyed Borehamwood this weekend. 8-0.
Absolutely meaningless I appreciate, however I have to say that Aubameyang looked on cracking form. Quality of opposition aside, he just looked very sharp, his shots weren't just hitting the target, they weren't saveable. I'm really excited to see what he can do this year.

It's always good for any team to get as much match practice - however meaningless that might be - as they can before a campaign.
Looking at the team sheet against Borehamwood hints at a better assault in the coming season; the players are looking lean and fit, and there's a renewed optimism about the place. About time too.
