How can you expect an atmosphere to be created if everyone is sat down in the South Stand?
I don't expect them to be sat down all of the time. The sitting/standing is a kind of choreographed routine that becomes intuitive after a while. This is a new stadium and people are excited so it gets a bit out-of-sync.
Do you go to any games? There's always been a hardcore of Spurs fans that stand up for the entire game, much like any ground.
Do you? They didn't fight with each other every game either at the Old WHL or Wembley. rolleyes

It will sort itself out very quickly.
I'll take that as a no then. I'm not trying to wind you up, but your statement shows little knowledge or understanding of that stand or the crowd that stand there. I'm not a spurs fan but do have family and friends that have season tickets in that stand.
Fella, I was a Spurs season ticket holder for 26 years and a regular pay-as-you-go punter for years before and after that until I moved out of London a few years ago.

Your family and friends that have season tickets in "that stand" have been to 1 game. I've seen stands come and go at old white hart lane and reconfigurations of the shelf so its happened before.

If you think you would at all be capable of actually winding me up on this you're sadly mistaken. As I said, it will sort itself out. Only the most die-hard of gooners could think this will still be an issue in 20 games time.
OK Fella. I never said it would be a long term issue, my original point was that it's indicative of new stadiums, bigger capacities and the general dilution of your attending fan base, it happens, we should know...

For an opening 'ceremony' it was quite embarrassing.
It was...if you're a gooner...and realise this is what you could've had... biggrin
I was well cringing.
Yeah, I'd imagine that walk to the Emirates is going to be somewhat deflating for you now.
Back on track; we're talking about the spurts' opening ceremony. Did you enjoy it?
Yes I did thanks. It seemed to try to be inclusive of the local area which moved me the most.

And who doesn't like a firework? biggrin

Not everything is rosey it seems. I'm assuming this is because of the influx of tourists and part time fans now the capacity has increased. Inevitable really, it happened to us too when we moved to the Emirates.

That was like The Emirates at Wenger’s last home game last year...most fan’s wanted to enjoy the moment but there were a few that could’t let the “Wenger Out” anger go....I had a mates season tickets. The group of blokes I sat behind who I’ve sat behind on quite a few occasions had it out with each other as a couple of them were ardent “Wenger Out”....the two blokes left before it kicked off. Football fans can be very odd sometimes......

You’d have thought with the excitement of the new stadium and a Top 4 place to play for that whole stand would have been on their feet the whole game !

Three days until the Arsenal steam-roller moves onto Everton.

The Toffees have been in decent form lately but still seem generally average to me.

0-3 to the Gunners and then let’s go give Napoli a good Thursday night slapping at home.
The Arsenal steam roller that runs our of steam whenever it’s left London N7 this year! I think it’ll be a single goal either way personally....and hopefully our way,

I think we got too many injuries not to play Yang and Laca up front together. If case then a single goal would be surprising.

We shall see, I will have beer in hand and lazy boy in recline 👍

And with 4(?) more away games I feel like we should get used to this until the end of the season. I would have thought that going third and having a 'win-able' list of fixtures would have motivated the players more, but apparently not.

Bunch of snowflakes, not sure we won a single 50/50 in the first half. Ref and officials didn’t help, foul throw for their goal.
We don’t deserve top 4 on the strength of that so c’est la vie. What was the Ozil jacket throwing nonsense all about ? If it was a towel I’d have understood; he did that a few seasons back !

hah well, i won’t whinge about the poor standard of refereing today because we should have scored a couple. that’s our challenge to deal with, conceding a goal is fine with our leaky defence as long as the strikers keep scoring and statistically - they won’t.

they had an off day today and with the dodgy decisions bam 3 points dropped.

will be back later in week for the Napoli game. am out on the town thursday so hoping to find a decent boozer and a comfy seat to watch the game.

Wasn’t that surprising a result when you look how abysmal our away form has been this year....still not a clean sheet away from home and Wolves, Leicester and Watford away to come.

People got way too excited last weekend. As we did then we need results to go our way starting with West Ham tomorrow.

On those 3 teams current form at home, I could easily see us coming away from those 3 games pointless.

Wow are you seriously blaming the ref for the loss? 3-0 wouldn’t have flattered Everton had they been able to hit a barn door with a banjo

Not blaming ref for the loss, not at all full credit to Everton. 23 shots on our goal tells the story. Everton would have scored one no doubt i just think that some of the stuff in the first half would have not happened under VAR but it would not have changed the end result.
