Yang and Laca with the response.

no matter how this ends, all those lightweight slags who got up to leave during the kane penalty need to think about why they bothered going to the game.

I can't understand it. They all feck off 5 mins before half time and are 5 mins late back. Weird. The biggest derby match, and they'd rather have a prawn sandwich?

On the positive a good result for us.

Back on the 15th for Watford away, then Eintract away and Villa home in quick order. Hopeful we can win all three of those.

Seats should electriocute anyone who doesn’t come back to their seat until 5 mins after half time.

Xhaks is such a fking liability off the ball/tackling it’s horrendous....just not worth it despite the ability to hit 40 yard passes to the feet of Pepe as he did a few times in the second half. Trouble is I reckon that passing will keep him in....because he’s left footed it’s the perfect combination.

A good result?!

Is this a piss take?!

A spurs team in disarray playing crap and with at least 3 wantaway players and who have been ste each game this season and very lucky not to have 0 points till now, and we make them look good. Terrible result tbh and my faith in the idiot Emery is gone. Wtf is he doing playing Xhaka. Every fking game and he’s captain. For this alone dick should get his cards.

Add in the terrible substitutions and selections in the first place (Mikhi Xhaka luis)

I’m afraid we have been sold a lemon in luis

Nothing will change until dick fks off. Still 0 improvement in defence and tactics are non existent.

On a brighter note Guendouzzi was excellent today....massive future. He’s the best young midfielder in the PL I think ? Can’t think of anyone else his age playing to such a high level.

Cannot believe nobody slating Sokratis for his failures at the first goal. Failed to win the header and then didn't track back and wasn't aware as to where Erikson was for their first goal. As for Xhaka.............is there time to get rid of him before the European window closes. Last of the Wenger/Gazidis clusterfck era.

How can i feel so disappointed after coming back from 2 goals down? banghead

As a neutral it was a very enjoyable NLD.

I take no particular pleasure in saying this and it’s not intended as a WUM but it’s bizarre how long a top team has continued with glaring deficiencies that every supporter (yours and every others teams) but not the managers or management. Must be very frustrating.

I don’t claim to watch every Arsenal game or be anyway as knowledgable as you lot but put very simply, you always seem to be short a couple of hard-working, high energy, tough, non flair player.

Not a foreign lightweight skilful type you always seem to buy

A Maguire type CB, a Fabinho type DMF - there must be plenty of these type of players out there.

Is that simply not the Arsenal way, or is my read completely off?

I have no idea why but as a club despite the the greatest teams we’ve had in the last thirty years being built on great defendes we have a massive issue buying top quality established defenders. Last absolute top quality one we “bought” was Sol Campbell....BFG, Mustafi and Socratis being the most established we have bought since. BFG was class but that’s it. The rest have tended to be players we have tried to being on like Koscielny.

Spurs home derby game is likely never going to be 0-0. I am happy with a point and on balance it was a good match.

Away at Anfield against one of the best teams in the world currently was always going to be a stretch.

If i wanted to shoot down my own team every week i would become a west ham fan.

Sadly there is a big fringe of Gooners who’s default position is to moan every week unless we win by three clear goals by half time and i am not one of them.

Unfortunately Arsenal went from the best defence in the Premier League to the worse amongst the top teams. Obviously buying top defenders is not quite as easy as most of us think as other top teams have suffered with a similar problem.
With us looking like we're not winning the Premier League anytime soon it's a classic case of a 'victim of our own success' the bar was set at Arsenal in the late 90s, Manchester United are going through the same where the bar was set even higher under Fergie, Liverpool went through it for years.

I see no reason to play Miki ahead of Reiss Nelson or Joe Willock. Sure they make errors but so does he....they have a future and both have shown they are capable of moment of high quality.

Yes he wasn't alert but where was our right back? And the supporting midfield? Remember there were three defence-minded midfielders in front of the defence; why 'slate' Sokratis for his mistake? It's a team effort and right now, he's our strongest defender in a weak back line.

We can all agree that we could do with better players than Mustafi, Mkhitaryan and Xhaka but what good does slating players do?

Agree bar BFG occasionally did well but mostly a cowardly fanny turning his back on shots, not jumping etc.

Spot on although not maguire thanks!

There is no Arsenal way. It’s revisionist JCLbullst. We always played to win be it through grim 1 nillers to the flair of wenger Mark 1.

Give me a dire 1 nil rather than an exciting 4-4

We are not Tottenham ( well shouldn’t be) masking lack of succes by claiming to play the ‘right way’.

I’m not saying it should be 0-0 I’m saying we should have been able to beat them comfortably given their flux.

My family have put in over 6 figures into the club over the years we are entitled as is anyone who hasn’t put a dime in too, to be able to call out and debate clear and obvious issues. I don’t expect us to win every game I expect is to do our best and not shoot ourselves in the foot with barmy team selections and subs. If Xhaka is the answer the manager is a fool and on that one huge issue shows he’s not the right man for the job. I don’t think this is an unfair assumption as very gooner or neutral I know can see Xhaka is not just crap but an actual severe handicap and detriment to the side. Yet dick made him captain.

Were you complaining at those who called for wengers head when he failed to address the glaring deficiencies for years too? Just because dick isn’t wenger doesn’t mean he is the answer.

I was prepared to give him 2 seasons. But I’m seeing no progress this season when he’s had another whole summer to imprint on the players and devise a means of playing. Every game this season has been a struggle. I’m not seeing any signs. Add in the Xhaka situation and I’m afraid he look out of his depth.

On a side note has Kane finally been called it for that despicable dive???
