a myth
bks its a myth

hes natural thought process is to stop them rather than go at them - Pep/Klopp minimise space but when they go at a team they will attack with numbers, he does not, I remember him coming to Anfield i was at the game, he has a line of 6 at the back and 3 in front, his whole thought process was just to try to stop us scoring and nick 1 from a set piece. I can honestly say I am yet to see Klopp or Pep ever set up like that no matter who they are playing.
surely he meant the Jose rumour is a myth not his unique playing style !!

Surely would have made more sense to quote the original person who said he was going hehe?? Rather than a post about him not suiting the playing style of your club? Save me 2 mins of my day rofl

Quit throwing toys!

I mean Arsenal’s playing style.

It’s a revisionist myth for those who equate Arsene=Arsenal with nothing before.

Plus that’s ignoring the fact that the the football for the last decade or so even under Mr Wenger has been turgid tippy tappy slow sideways go nowhere nonsense...

What utter twaddle.
Arteta was approached first.
HE declined saying he wasn't ready yet "give me two years"
UE on a 3 year deal with both parties holding a two year option out

We'll see

Must be a first for a European draw for arsenal - 3 teams actually close to the UK, hopefully helpl recovery compared to playing in the Eastern block!

I'm sure Arteta is on the radar at some point, but your conviction that UE will go at the end of the season doesn't make any sense, unless you're also in the know about where we'll finish this season?

Sure, if we finish outside of the top 4 and have a distinctly average season your prophecy could come true, but finish 3rd? Win a trophy? What then?

I share your 'what if' sentiment.
And I genuinely hope it goes well for UE as I'm not convinced Arteta "experiment" will work and personally I would rather stick with Emery if he does well (improves).... But I think the hierarchy fancy the ex player/up coming manager (pep) thing and unless UE really excels.....I reckon the 'prophecy' may pan out.

I’ve read in a few places it’s a two year contract with a one year option. If UE doesn’t get Top 4 he’s definitely out and maybe even if he does if he doesn’t do it in style. If we fail to get Top 4 I just don’t see KSE risking Arteta...at that stage they really have to go balls out for Top 4. I really, really hope Mourinho doesn’t get the job...he’s an utter . Plays st football and the histrionics and ego are deplorable. When Mourinho started at Chelsea he was the disruption with the new ideas...>Wenger and Fergie were the establishment who looked dated. He’s now the establishment and Guardiola and Koop are the disruptors

I hope not too, Sanchez's world class footballer status to totally useless under him should be enough to convince Stan 'know fk all about football' Kronke.

Agreed.

I'm still short of becoming an Emery fan, but he's the gaffer and looking at the changes that have been made on and off the pitch he's clearly part of the transition. We now have some active members upstairs and much younger squad options to field. A move in the right direction.

Could be another couple of seasons before we get to where we think we should be.

Are you new here? wink

Xhaka Achilles injury on international duty & Torreira got a knock, both to be reviewed before we play Watford and their new (old?) manager...

Guendouzi - Ceballos - Willock - AMN (if Chambers goes RB or even Bellerin).

We have options.
