Delighted Freddie gave the kids a chance and his “I wouldn’t have picked Ozil is he was fit” message. The way the senior pro’s have been playing I think he’s right....pick who will try hardest !

Thinking we’re going to bring in a CB without one leaving is totally unrealistic....Saliba is coming next summer and we already have six.

The single biggest issue the club has is exiting some of the players that need to be got rid of....and that’s not Arteta’s job.

Some serious issues with team selection today - who on earth do we play at full back, assuming bellerin is out as well. We may have no left backs or right backs! Everton look fired up - with AMN at right back and someone filling in at left back (Saka, Chambers, Xhaka? God knows), they could have a field day. Really need a win today, big time.
Matt Doherty at RB, just need to find the £50m to sign him.

Yeah, because you won't find fans being negative in forums, or on radio phone ins.

Nothing wrong with being able to give an opinion, it's the way they do it and the way they make money from it!

I see Aftv have pretty much accused those giving the abuse as "racist". Oh dear...

Plenty of time for Robbie, he’s usually pretty reasoned and level headed, but his band of shouty angry hangers on, less so.

Well these young coaches could catch on judging by the result at WHL.

But there's a massive range of opinions from the y (DT) right through to the positive but deluded (Ty/Tai).

Off the top of my head, the regulars are DT, Troopz, Claude, Ty, Graham, Moh, Lee Gunner, Lee Judges, Kelechi and Turkish. Of those, they rarely have the same opinions and then op top of that, there are normally 4-6 random people that haven't been on before giving a range of opinions.

Yes, I understand that DT in particular gets a major amount of exposure through the channel and he is very agressive and negative at times, but his videos often get the highest views so it makes sense. Similar to why Piers Morgan still has a job innit? Being controverisal sells. Troopz gets a lot of exposure too, but he was standing by both Emery and Wenger long after the boos began for both of them. Plus, I like the way he speaks, he often teaches me new slang words I didn't previously know biggrin

Controversy sells.

AFTV reflects any conversation a bunch of fans have in pubs across the country. The difference is, AFTV enjoy an audience of millions.

In any pub, after a loss, you will hear conversations going on for hours afterwards about who should go, stay, loaned, under/ performed, who was a clown and who was hero. The same around any ground too.

Where as arsenal fans are charged amongst the highest in the league for tickets on the basis of moving grounds would catapult us to the top and enable us to compete, we have gotten worse. Frustrated, Robbie realised that he could make a “fan panel” to reflect a cross section of views: understandably the negative sells more views/ subscribers, and that is what they have now gotten a reputation for. It would be a way for fans to vent frustrations, built on performance of a team that most spend small fortunes following.

If Robbie really wanted to an antidote, he would make sure there was an even balance of opposing views, instead he has personalities- who have become known for being negative. Like any good soap a cast rotation is necessary- he needs to get a balance.

I am disappointed about the race card though- just like AFTV think/thought that wenger/kronke were rotting the club, some fans believe they are rotting the club, and just like AFTB protested against wenger/kronke, some fans are protesting against them. I’m sure Robbie has experienced vile racism (against spuds I recall) but that isn’t the basis of the protests, at least that wasn’t the basis that I saw on social media.

Where? I just got around to watching Robbie's vid about it on AFTV and at about 5:00 he specifically said "I don't think these guys are racists, it's not a racial thing".

Couldn't see anything on Twitter either.

Am I missing something?

He is comparing AFTV being singed out with how he used to be singled out as a black man, and then specifically says he doesn't think that's the motivation for these guys. It seems like what is probably a valid comparison to me, I don't doubt that he faced abuse for being black from groups of people in a similar way to how he faced abuse from a group of people due to being the founder of AFTV.

Does that seriously count as 'playing the race card'?? Seems mad to me, particularly when he said that was not what he was accusing them of, it just felt like a similar situation to him. I can easily see how he would experience it in a similar way, can't you?

AFTV....

I don't really care if they offer a broad spectrum of opinion (I only ever see the negative idiots so didn't know until recently that they did)

Whether it's their intention or not, their broadcasts make us a laughing stock, and that simply not what the club needs right now, or ever to be honest.

It's car crash TV. Characters picked to generate viewers, and not to give intelligent input about the club or the love of the game, we used to be a class outfit.

We really can do without them, and i think if he truly loved the club he'd change his content to appeal more to Arsenal fans than our rivals fans.

AFTV

When it first crossed my radar I watched, I subscribed and went along with it. I can't say it made a fan of me but I guess I was waiting for the better broadcasts to come. They never did.

When I saw they were selling merchandise, I got rid.

As I’m stuck on a train. I wonder how much Heysel influenced the polices decision to do what they did.

BTW for any Liverpool fan who has never heard of Heysel as it’s conveniently brushed under the carpet, it was an event where your fans murdered a number of Italians.

Arteta has been on the sidelines shouting the whole game, I like it. It's been a better performance too, even if it's still not the result we want at the moment.

Yeah, I know, it's his first game, but this seems to be more of a new manager 'bounce' than Freddie had. Would be good if we can get a few games worth of improvement!

Meanwhile Everton win 1-0... first half was an improvement, second half less so, final ball and finishing wouldn’t have been out of place in the old 3 division. The effort levels were better but we clearly can’t keep it up for a whole game. Next two games will be biggies.
