Oh well. Maybe Arteta can work miracles over the summer and we start next season with a well drilled, disclpined squad with just the right amount of flair. I'm an Arsenal fan, I've got to have some unrealistic hope right?
the points spread between 5th and the rest is so tight, as we have seen many times before, it is not about ability or form, it is about mental strength to handle the run-in. about 5 of our squad lack a brain and it seems logical they won't choke.

I think Man Utd, with Bruno Fernadez, will be the team to nick 5th - we would have to have a very strong run in and I just haven't seen anything recently to suggest we will pick up enough points - we may well lose not many games but a lot will end up as draws.

Hope I'm wrong!

City game on Wednesday will be a massive one, a win could make a huge difference to our confidence on the run in.

Will be interesting to see how Arteta sets us up knowing Pep so well... Watching them against Man U yesterday it’s vital to stop Sterling and Mahrez, that’s what United were good at. City look fragile currently but we mustn’t get carried away.

Don't fancy us for 5th
Its do-able, but we wont do it.
Everton totally choked, and the city result was awful.....they were terrible, man u were'nt great but did close down well and held on to the ball (i begrudge complimenting them at all).....points went against us.

It'll be all about the summer for me.
Keep Aube/martinez...possibly Laca.
Tierney fit and at left back
Saka moves up the field
Saliba comes in and hits the ground running.
Mustafi/Luiz and Xhaka f**k off
Torreira gets fit
Holding gets fit
Chambers gets fit
Little Eddie becomes Terry Henry incarnate
One of the best shot stoppers in the league learns how to stop p**s balling about and just 'keeps Goal'

John Stones links are a bluff (please god no....not stones)

One or two "smart" additions

Anyone but Stones! What is it with us and comedy centre backs?!

I honestly can’t see us buying any more centrebacks in the summer, We’ve got Luiz, Socratis, Mustafi, Holding, Chambers, Pablo Mari, with an option to buy and Saliba coming back from loan. If we let Mustafi and Socratis go in the summer I’d be happy with that, but I can see City binning Stones, he’s just too bork prone for Pep.

I don’t think we’ll do it either....Man U’s new additions have really energised them. Plus you can expect someone else to make a run at it so massively difficult.

Don’t see how we keep Auba if we’re not playing CL...one year to go on his contract so he is in control of the situation...he’s got two or three years left playing at his level probably so he’ll want CL football.

Luiz and Xhaka have looked much better since Arteta arrived so I don’t think they go anywhere and with our needs elsewhere money will go to other parts of the team. If Auba goes I don’t see us going into the season with Laca/Martinelli/Nketiah as our three strikers.

We might actually get some money for Mustafi and I think Rob Holding needs a year playing somewhere. We have 8 CB’s so even if we sell Mustafi and Sokaratis he could still go on loan.

Having said that, watching Leipzig teaching spuds a lesson tonight I’d throw lots of money at Upamecano, absolute unit of a defender and can play a bit going forwards too...

And some arsenal fans thought we missed a trick when spurs appointed mourinho just before emery was sacked (not on here). His glory days are a distant memory.

Centre back is a bit of a weird one as we have a ludicrous number of them but huge question marks over all of them! I've got a bit of a sinking feeling that Holding's days may be numbered with us - there doesn't seem to be any attempt to get him back into the first team. Is he even making the bench at the moment? Hope I'm wrong and a full pre season will work in his favour. Mari also looks like he could be a shrewd piece of business. Papa and Luiz are probably staying, saliba is incoming, chambers is coming back. That's a lot of bodies.

What was Levy thinking? He proved how useless he's become at Man Utd costing them a fortune without any improvement in the team and then Levy hires him for Spurs!!

Yep, a number of our players are now self-isolating having come into contact with the Olympiakos owner who has now been diagnosed with coronavirus...!

Apparently returning to training on Friday - I wonder if the Bournemouth match will be postponed considering the circumstances and that they won't have trained?

Last confirmation from EPL is that it's on, they like us about as much as the FA with their repeated st ref selection...
