Quiet in here bearing in mind one of the most successful British players of recent times has just joined the world’s most successful club...
It's a strange one alright. Don't really see what Stevie G brings to the table, it's a lose, lose situation for him. They are just too far behind Celtic and the fans will be baying for blood before Christmas.Speaking of the fans I see they were their usual classy selves outside the stadium singing their lovely little tune.

And a practising Roman Catholic so interesting to see how this plays out. Maybe his appointment will help diffuse some of the sectarian tensions in Scottish football?
There are no sectarian tensions in Scottish football, only Glasgow. One thing is for sure, no one is going to argue with with Gerrard over what music is played on the team bus.

It is a good end to the season this year with some teams having something to play for. The 2nd place battle is tight.
I also didn't expect Dundee Utd to lose to Livingston last night.
What is Livingston's financial position these days? They've been in lots of financial trouble before and entered administration at least twice.
How are they surviving when their average crowd is only around 800-900?

Dave King reckons if Celtic lose the SPL title to Rangers just once, that's them fked 'cos they are so reliant on Champions League money.

Not sure. What’s Celtic’s CL revenue as a percentage of turnover/expenditure?http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/16209872.Dave_K...Celtic_s_domestic_dominance_is_like_a__pack_of_cards-_one_Scottish_title_win_is_all_Rangers_need/

Here's some figures to December 2017

I don't think they plan for CL money. It would be stupid to base your business model around funds which aren't guaranteed.

Presume Celtic holding cash on the balance sheet as well so a war chest if ever needed?

I'm not a fan of the split, however the chase for second is producing some exciting games.
Seen the Belgian split? I think the points get halved after the split, meaning the final round of games are worth more points effectively. So also, Celtic’s 8 point lead (or whatever it was) would’ve became 4.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
