Seen the Belgian split? I think the points get halved after the split, meaning the final round of games are worth more points effectively. So also, Celtic’s 8 point lead (or whatever it was) would’ve became 4.
I wasn't aware of that.
It’s the same in Austria and Romania. When it was first mooted for Scotland I was worried it would involve the same halving of the points!

We obviously need to change our system when “the second best team in Scotland” come fourth in the league! laugh

Last night we were lucky to be the second best team on the pitch. Totally gubbed by the Jambos frown

In all seriousness it was a thoroughly enjoyable match. I worried about the ref early doors but he seemed to let the game flow more as it progressed in a decent spirit. Some good midfield battles and football from both teams.

It must do Lennon's head in that his team are so mercurial. If they played every week like they did against Celtic on the most part this season then they would without a doubt be number 2 is Scotland. Though I'm surprised at him saying the things he did after the match about possibly leaving now.

Great last day to the SPL season.

As a Celtic fan I’ve rarely been so content with Celtic losing hehe

SPL order restored! phew.

Plenty of entertainment at Easter Road. Not too much football...but plenty of entertainment.

Neil Lennon must surely have his own seat reserved in the stand... laugh

11 teenagers in a hearts squad, 10 goals at Easter Road, Brendan’s first home domestic loss, Aberdeen’s first win against Celtic in 25 attempts. Funny old day!

When I read the results, my first thought was maybe Celtic deliberately lost to prevent rangers getting second.

I don't follow the Scottish leagues enough, so others may have a better perspective on that theory.

I think we’ll just have to accept Aberdeen deserved their first win over Celtic in 25 (?) attempts and that Celtic’s undefeated domestic dome record since 2015 had to end at some point and it just happneed to cost Rangers 2nd Place hehe

Often applied as a barb against Rangers' recent financial difficulties (and their subsequent lack of footballing success), a former Rangers youth player that was sexually abused by a coach at the club has been informed that he should take his complaints up with the initial club's liquidators.

Reported by the BBC, the man claiming to have been abused by a member of the Rangers staff in the 1980s was "told by lawyers for Rangers that the duty of care is not with the current owners."

It's shady, but if he wants to use the law for redress, the law says the current entity is not responsible.

So the current entity has retained old entity’s history of footballing success but not its history of abuse?

That is a (debatable) administrative matter governed by the football authorities in Scotland, the other is a matter of law.

Seems even rangers lawyers believe there is an old club/new club scenario!

No, they understand that the club and the company that owned it are two different things.

You might not agree with how it all panned it, but do people really not understand it after all these years?
Not so in this case

"a former Rangers youth player that was sexually abused by a coach at the club"

This was a youth player at the Club, sexually abused by a coach at the club.

Not sure how the club can wash their of this, and yet claim an unbroken history?

Not point scoring, but I think any neutral will struggle with this defence.

Car reg A123XYZ hit me in 1987.

I'd like to sue the present registered keeper.

Will it go well?

On the football front, it's heartening to see some locally grown, quality Scottish produce coming back to the Premiership. IE Arfield and McGregor. It's easier for fans to find an affinity with these sorts of boys compared to the imports. It's brilliant when quality professionals like Bruno Alves join our league to raise the standard, but I'm not sure that could be said of Pena, Dalcio and Herrera for example. What must the Rangers development squad think when managers bring in a minibus of mediocrity instead of giving them a chance? I hope a few other young Scots can follow McRorie, Cummings, Docherty into the Rangers lineup in the way that the Hearts boys have.

Tierney seems to be making all the right noises about staying in Scotland too*, and he could really become a poster boy for young Scots hoping to make a name for themselves. I did read this morning he says he's not jealous of Andy Robertson's likely Champions League final appearance but SURELY that's the sort of stuff every footballer dreams of? Is he being sincere?

* he wouldn't be the first to say the right things then F off...
