Embarrassing. Mistake after mistake.

They are good enough without all the gifts.

It's a long time since I've seen such a passive display from a Scotland team.

No pressing to speak of, and with what little possession we had there was an utter lack of movement off the ball to give the man in possession options.

Mulgrew looked exactly what he is, a past-it, League One player

Can hardly blame just Mulgrew. Nobody was up for that last night and everyone was making silly mistakes. I thought Mulgrew was playing well for Blackburn? He's their captain.

Just noticed the crowd was only 20,000 last night. That's also really poor considering the opposition.

It's getting a bit worrying that everyone is giving up. Poor performance from the team, really poor crowd and atmosphere, and even the chat on the forums is dead.

Every goal was as soft as st and easily preventable. Pathetic.

Read it again, I wasn't blaming just Mulgrew. He just happened to be the worst of a shockingly bad bunch

It was just you called him out specifically. I don't think he was the worst, but his pass and then defending for the goal that came from was bad.

I know the English championship isn't the pinnacle of football, but he's being doing well from what I read. There is not exactly plenty of other better choices.

Thirty quid for a friendly, I'm surprised there was 20,000

Happy that Eck is getting another shot at the job, I was gutted when he left last time.
Scraping the bottom of a very deep barrel!
I'll happily stick my neck out here and say that he'll have us qualifying for the Euro's. He's the best we've had since Craig Brown.

was at the game on friday night, thought the first half was ‘ok’. 1-0 down at half time, 1 stupid mistake for the goal. but we had a couple of bits where the passing and movement was good/ looked creative. then came the second half........ it was embarrassing, can say there was zero positives to take from that. fair play to belgium tho, they came with a full strength side and seeing the likes of hazard and lukaku makes you realise the gulf between where we are and where we need to be

i was shocked at the attendance though, i jokes before the game that i reconed there would be about 20k at the game and my mate said- nah things are improving we’ll have about 30k....... nope i was bang on the money. the crowd was terrible, zero atmosphere. and for the first time in my life- as a group we left at 80mins! never left a game early, but just got so bored and couldn’t face any more.

that said- i’ll be back on monday for more punishment! must win game, no excuses or ‘good performances’ we have to beat albania and israel home and away in this nations league

I'm hoping this new league of nations things helps crowds as its a real competition and maybe our best way into the Euro championships? At least it has some purpose to it. If we can only get 20k to a game, then take it to a 20k stadium so at least we get some atmosphere.

I can't see the crowd being big v Albania especially on a Monday night.

Anything other than a win will see McLeish under huge pressure.

Another reason not to move to Murrayfield!
Can you imagine the atmosphere in there with 20k fans?

Is that the plan? Play every game at Murrayfield regardless of expected demand?

I believe we play a lot of these low demand games at Hampden presently as it’s cost effective with the lease. I’d love to use Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, etc more for these sorts of games.

Perhaps more people would get to Murrayfield after their work than Hampden, so it wouldn’t be so empty scratchchin

Hopefully not with that pitch.

Must be a stadium in (or around Glasgow) that could hold 15 - 20k with a cracking atmosphere?
