Good W in the box. Still slackness about the centre of the park. Hoping McDonald doesn’t last long as I’m not seeing what he brings. Naismith was good up front - worked tirelessly and deserved the goal(s). Robertson and Tierney seemed to both be playing left wing back. That’s a novel way to accommodate them
I was at the game last night and thought we put in a great performance. We really dominated the game, some really positive/ creative plays. Yes there were a couple of silly mistakes, but thankfully didnt cost us. Going forward we were pretty damn good, I dont remember a game where we had that many chances in a long time.
I know the national team haven't been doing great, but the turn outs were very very poor. 20k for belgium on friday and 17.5k last night! ouch! also the 17.5 last night was only that high because there was a fairly decent (maybe 2k?!?!) albanian fans there.
all in all a good performance, mcleish wins his first competitive game of this spell as manager. some positives to take forward. McTominay now has a full competitive cap, so he's stuck with scotland now. Its been a while since I could say this, but I'm looking forward to the next game!

So Hampden it is... According to the BBC, SFA are paying Queen's Park £5M and assuming liabilities of £19M from the renovation 20 years ago. Can anyone explain how any of that makes any sense? I suppose they will be able to mortgage it to borrow more money, but just seems like throwing cash into a pit.
my understanding is the £19M figure only comes into play if they moved away from Hampden.
I think its an embarrassment that the SFA have had to rely on a charity donation from a private individual to see this deal through.
Now that this is settled the SFA should have a long term plan to improve Hampden.
I'm more concerned about the standard of the national team. We could have the best stadium in the world but folk won't go if the standard of football on show is crap.
Knowing the SFA we'll be back here in 10-15 years saying they are skint, Hampden need maintenance work - that they can't afford - so they'll need to sell it.

It doesn’t make sense and the SFA couldn’t afford it until a Glaswegian Lord lumped in a couple of £m to keep Scotland games at Hampden. I've heard a few soundbites over the last few days saying the stadium in Stuttgart is an example of squaring off the ends of an oval stadium and that the SFA say it's something they are "committed to investigating"
I'll save them the hassle of an SFA blazer jolly to Germany or setting up a think-tank.
A quick google shows that redevelopment cost 60-70 million euros, ten years ago.

It was never a red card and they lost the appeal. Now Steve Clarke has been charged.
They aren't half making a mockery of Scottish football this year with their bizarre behaviour.

So in your view:It was never a red card and they lost the appeal. Now Steve Clarke has been charged.
They aren't half making a mockery of Scottish football this year with their bizarre behaviour.
When Stevie G questions a red, appeals a red, and has it overturned, Stevie G is at fault.
When Stevie C questions a red, appeals a red, and DOESN’T have it overturned, then brings out the conspiracy theories and thereby brings the game into disrepute, the SFA are at fault.
How peculiar

It's the SFA who applying two completely inconsistent sets of rules.
Gerrard didn't just challenge a red. He wrongly called the entire integrity of Scottish football for years into question after the Aberdeen game. He should have been charged for the "naive" comments.
He then wrongly called the ref out again after the Celtic game.
In the meantime a justified red was overturned and a stone wall red ignored.
On the other hand the Kilmarnock player should never have been sent off. The appeal was wrongly thrown out, then Clarke instantly charged for bringing the game into disrepute for his comments.
You really can't see the vastly differing double standards?
