Rangers are all over the place. Lucky that Villarreal keep making a mess of the final ball. They don't look particularly good themselves.
Reserve side!

Fine second equalizer and great to get a draw. God knows how though.

Rangers really can't defend. They've lost 6 goals against Villarreal, Celtic and Motherwell in the games I've seen. It could and should have been about 16. Their goal is living a charmed life and it won't be long before someone hammers that defence.

Sound mate.

9 games undefeated home and away in Europe;
In the other 12 games we’ve played this year, ie excluding the ones you’ve seen, we’ve conceded just 5 goals.

Not bad for a team that “really can’t defend” laugh

Far be it from me to critique BR but why the fk at home against this mob we don't have 2 strikers on the park?

The defence has looked utterly clueless in the games I've seen. I didn't see the earlier games so can't comment or take into consideration the unknown teams. The Russian team did also have a perfectly good goal disallowed.

Villarreal just lacked a final pass and on 3 or 4 occasions a reasonably easy finish. They just walked through the defence with ease again tonight.

2 draws and a 1-0 defeat should have been 3 convincing defeats.

Celtic look stale again tonight. Tierney is about the only one injecting any pace into the game. A few better chances later on, but need more than that.

No worries, as long as you’re aware you’re making assumptions based on your biased view on a tiny and unrepresentative proportion of available evidence thumbup

He's the forum Rangers expert don't you know.

I assume Celtic are pumping the mighty Rosenborg at home?

I find it hard to believe a defence can be that bad three of the last four games and great the rest.

Rosenborg offered nothing tonight and Celtic deserved the win. Missed a few good chances, but overall still well off the pace.

I'd imagine Hearts will beat Livingston on Saturday and that will be the pressure cranked well up already. 8 points clear at any time is a huge statement.

Good night for British football with 3 victories as expected, and Rangers exceeding expectations.

A very good point for rangers even though they were pretty well outplayed by the reserves and a very good win for Celtic even though they obviously watched the St Mirren game and came for a point!
If Brendan is not going to play with 2 strikers and it seems he won't then he needs to get a no 10 that can link with the centre forward because our midfield is not working as an attacking force at the moment.

What’s the manager got against Griffiths? I think if I were a centre half, i’d much rather play against Edouard.

I don't think he has anything against him but he looks as if he's about a stone overweight and for a pro athlete that is inexcusable but he still knows where the back of the net is!

He was in court getting sentenced for speeding yesterday and allegedly assaulted a reporter on exit. Perhaps that’s why Edouard started last night.

That Kilmarnock pitch is terrible,ok for training on in winter but not for playing SPL football! IMO.

Mourinho had a go at the Young Boys’ pitch in the CL through the week too, post match. The subject is getting attention at the highest echelons.

Difficult subject now there’s a few teams in the Premiership who’ve invested in the artificial surfaces. I can’t really recall the last time I saw a poor grass pitch in our top division too. Maybe Motherwell a few seasons ago was a bit muddy...?

Killie 2 Celtic 1

Oh dear. Looks like the hangover from last two seasons won’t be remedied quickly. I suppose where do you go after 2xtrebles but it seems like hunger has been lost in a big way. But the hope of a resurgence makes for a much more entertaining season, whatever happens next n the end.

It would be great to see a different team win the league this year, might even get the board at Celtic to get the cheque book out. They can’t continue to sell their best players and expect to stay ahead of the chasing pack forever.
