Watching as a neutral, I was surprised that Morelos wasn't punished more severely. Two of the incidents were definitely deliberate foul play to my eyes.
That said, the gross over-reaction from opponents certainly doesn't make it any easier for the referees, introducing an element of doubt in a 'crying wolf' fashion.
To be fair there wasn't a massive over reaction. As far as I could see everyone thought the ref missed the key decisions and action would be taken afterwards. That said, the gross over-reaction from opponents certainly doesn't make it any easier for the referees, introducing an element of doubt in a 'crying wolf' fashion.
The reaction has come after Beaton said he seen all the incidents and didn't feel the need for the slightest of action. That's stirred the response.
The idiots that have threatened Beaton are messed up. Sick of seeing this ste in Scottish football. Unbelievable the things people do on social media and behind a phone.
50/50 on today's signings.
Two teams have paid £15m for Burke. I've not seen enough to offer an opinion, but a right winger to displace Forrest doesn't look like the positions to address.
Motherwell signing McCormack is a big deal for them. How much of his £40k per week are Villa paying?
If rumours are true a lot of teams are splashing the cash.
I’ve seen Burke playing here and there and always been fairly impressed, especially with his touch and strength. Looked like he had a lot to learn, although I’ve not seen him as much recently. He could well do a grand job.
I’m actually just about tired of talking about Morelos. I’m not sure why he’s getting so much aggro. If we were in England, someone would’ve played the racism card by now. I think it’s most likely that anyone who isn’t a Rangers fan is terrified of his ability to make “world class defenders” look like they’ve never seen a football before.

That's not singling him out because it is a cancer in modern football, happens with players in every team (including the one I support) and is nothing less than cheating.
Most of the problems in current football come down to weak, craven, refereeing. If they applied the laws as they are written the game would be much better to watch.

In fact if Christie or Brown had reacted, then maybe a card would have been produced
The numpties leaving abusive voicemails should be named and shamed, however it was probably amplified by the fact Beaton went on a pub crawl after the game in Bellshill and ended up in the 2nd staunchest bar in the town, but let's not turn it into a convienent squirrel
The SFA have to clarify given that the ref has admitted he saw all three incidents and concluded one was a foul and the other two where play on
If he had even spoken to Morelos at the time, telling him to calm down then maybe your thinking he's trying to let the game flow, he didn't
The standard of refeering has been abysmal this season between recinded red cards, the SFA asking FIFA for clarification on red cards for violent offences, mistaken identity, penalties that where never penalties to appealed sending offs that should have been successful
The timing and tone of the SFA statement so soon after the Celtic statement (which hasn't been responded too if I'm not mistaken) is another piece of nonsense
The timeline on criticising refs and the SFA has been clear this season
Gerrard's conspiracy remarks after the first game of the season "I believe it's been happening for seasons. That's just my opinion."
Stevie Clarke/Levein & Robinson's remarks and subsequent sanctioning
Gerrard & Jack's demotion remarks against Collum
Celtic statement asking for a meeting and clarification
This should have been nipped in the bud a few months ago, however as long as the ref & blazer clique remain (both Dallas & Dougie Dougie) are still involved in refereering, then it will still be meet the new boss, same as the old one

Happens all the time in rugby (my game) and you just get on with it unless it was a full on stamp. So I wouldn't overreact the way Ralston did, like a massive fanny, as I have more self-respect and I'm not a cheat.DocJock said:

Aye but you rugger buggers have a higher tolerance for pain give the fingers up the arses and variety of depraved drinking games you indugle in simoid said:
The poor lad Morelos is one of the brightest young players we’ve had in our game and there’s a frothing-at-the-mouth campaign to get him suspended retrospectively for things that are barely yellow cards.
"The poor lad Morelos"?Good player but he's a nasty piece of work, if you ask me.

The reasoning given that no action was taken against Morelos was the ref seen all the incidents at the time.
The ref seen the incident with McKenna and Edouard at the time and deemed it wasn't a foul. They still took that incident out of the ref's hands and banned Mckenna.
Aberdeen lodged an appeal on the basis that the ref had seen the incident and deemed it wasn't a foul. Same reasoning for no action against Morelos, but they subsequently lost their appeal.
The inconsistency off the park is as bad as on it.

Could you please provide a Strocky certified list of Lanarkshire pubs, sorted by staunchness?Just so if I'm ever in the area I don't end up in the 3rd staunchest, that simply wouldn't do.

I believe it's maybe something along the lines of a "clear and obvious error" that the ref gets overruled for? McKenna not receiving a red for the hurricanrana on Edouard perhaps was ruled a clear and obvious error? Morelos' incidents are all debatable, and certainly not clear and obvious red cards unless you're favourite colour is green or you got caught on TV shouting obscenities at Easter Road on the 29th.The ref seen the incident with McKenna and Edouard at the time and deemed it wasn't a foul. They still took that incident out of the ref's hands and banned Mckenna.
