I think he's an excellent appointment by Hibs. He has instilled positivity and self-belief into the team and staff at HTC. He's not the first and won't be the last person to say something on camera which he later regrets.
I wasn't aware Hibs had a hooligan problem. Yes, there's the odd idiot - like any cub - but is there a general hooligan problem at Hibs? Pot and kettle spring to mind, by the way.
Did you see Leeanne Dempster's tweet about the Hearts idiot who was damaging the seats?
Yes on the field he’s certainly got the team picking up points.I wasn't aware Hibs had a hooligan problem. Yes, there's the odd idiot - like any cub - but is there a general hooligan problem at Hibs? Pot and kettle spring to mind, by the way.

Decent attempt and whataboutery and deflection from his thuggish remarks - I’ll assume you agree that he is setting a bad example.
No hooligan problem at Hibs? Your mind will explode if you stick ‘Hibs hooligans’ into YouTube so definitely don’t do that. Oh and your entire fan base invaded the pitch at the national stadium just a couple of years ago but you’ve clearly forgotten that too. And the guy who shouted ‘black bd’, and the guy who invaded the pitch to confront Rangers’ captain, and the guy who threw the bottle at Sinclair. All of them just the odd idiot.
Yes I know Rangers have plenty of idiots too - please stop doing yourself a disservice by pretending your club is any different.

Point of order though: the entire fan base didn't invade the pitch at Hampden. several hundred/thousand did and it was mainly an act of exuberance. No reference to the Rangers inciting violence on the pitch that day though?

They’re aholes.I’ve not retracted anything. I fear you may have misunderstood my post.
TBH I think the club many people would most closely associate with hooliganism in Scotland would be Hibs. The new manager talking about knocking a referee’s teeth out won’t be helping that. I thought you might instantly and explicitly condemn it as a reasonable person would do, but clearly the green tints are too strong and you ended up on Rangers quicker than you can say James Tavernier.

Always find it strange there’s no openly gay footballers (bad thing). And that you never really hear stories/rumours of gay footballers (probably a good thing).

Amazing.
The big question is: why were Rangers fans on the pitch?

In the 80s/90s I'd agree Hibs had a big issue with football hooliganism through the casuals sub-culture. But would you really associate Hibs with hooliganism today more than any other team in Scotland? I mean really?!

Really? It absolutely was an act of exuberance. Check out Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_Scottish_Cup_Final) where it says "...the invasion was caused by the Hibs supporters' exuberance at winning the cup...".
You realise I could change that to "...the invasion was caused by the Hibs supporters' being dirty junkie bds..." in about 2 minutes?Using Wikipedia as a source for subjective football stuff is pretty desperate tbh.

Ha ha - you don't know what subjective means, do you?Using Wikipedia as a source for subjective football stuff is pretty desperate tbh.
A poll would probably show you that the public perception of Rangers fans is that they're scumbags. You'd have a fit if I said that, but you can call Hibbees junkies, spoon burners, etc.?

Can we talk about football? Predictions for this weekend? On Sunday I predict 2-3.

I'd put the manager's comments down to relative inexperience at media interviews and he probably regrets some of those words.

Fair enough - you’re entitled to give him the benefit of doubt/inexperience/heat of the moment like I do with Morelos. When I think of hooligans I think of Hibs Hearts, Hibs Rangers, Dundee clubs clashing, that sort of thing. I’m sure I’m not alone. Maybe because I grew up in east central Scotland. In the 80s/90s I'd agree Hibs had a big issue with football hooliganism through the casuals sub-culture. I think that Ibrox atmosphere will depend on whether Celtic finally win the league (that they ‘won’ months ago )
Might be a nothing game and both teams might go for it. Or Rangers might be trying to keep the title chase alive and feeling the pressure.

Have you not watched Man Utd lately?
Fair point. If his Wikipedia page is accurate his Man Utd contract will be up at the end of the season. I can't imagine he's going to even get a contract at Sunderland.
