Will Rangers give Celtic a guard of honour next week?
There is precedent but the bears won’t like it!based on this season, I still haven't seen anything to suggest Celtic won't win it again next season.

Obviously as the precedent has been set it would be expected to continue. However, doing it will just lead to trouble, but if Rangers don't do it they'll just be mocked for bad sportsmanship. It is a no win situation.
I genuinely can't see Celtic not winning the league for a few years to come. I think this was Rangers big season and they still fell miles short.
Aberdeen have dropped off a bit too and they are losing their captain for next season.
Maybe Hibs will carry on their improvement.

You really thought that was Rangers big season with a brand new manager and a new team?
Yes. They even had to pawn their TVs. I would imagine the team will end up with a lot of changes again next season. I guess it will be how lucky Rangers are picking up loans again.

Romping the league in early May with only 36 of 38 games played you’d think it was 8 seasons undefeated the way you go on.
Rangers will be at least 10% better again next season, so Celtic will need to be too. Looking forward to it already. Lennon will get a “thanks but no thanks” Murty-esque cya later and you’ll get another big name in I hope. I don’t want Rangers to stop the rot because you keep Lennon and he bottles it - I hope both teams progress.
Crazy eh. He’ll probably get off with it, the appeals system is so unpredictable
Rangers have done that for most of the last 5 games, I think it’s more the Rangers midfield 3 don’t let teams out. Nice balance there. Thought Hibs could do us later in the second half on the break, as earlier in the season.

That’s the worst I’ve seen Hibs play since Hecky took the wheel. Absolutely no idea why he started with one up front. How does the ball go out for a corner, a second ball thrown on and then it’s a drop ball? Surely the corner should be retaken?
And for Hibs: why not challenge for a drop ball in the oppositions box in injury time against 10 men and an outfield player’s in goals when your 1-0 down?
Exciting end, I guess. Rangers deserved the three points. Just wasn’t Hibs’ day.

I think...
Ball was in play. Second ball comes on. Drop ball from place play ‘stopped’. Rangers had cleared the ball, so Hibs wanted Rangers to clear the ball.
Nearly a VG away performance from Hibs though, defended well most of the time, keeper good, nearly dangerous on the break. 3 pts for Gers though.

Although it was only mathematically sealed yesterday there was never a real challenge. Rangers were never ever going to have the slightest of chances of catching for a long time. There wasn't the slightly contest going on for months. Romping the league in early May with only 36 of 38 games played you’d think it was 8 seasons undefeated the way you go on.

If you think otherwise you're just kidding yourself on.
Celtic have played well within themselves all season. The only time the team had to pick up their game was at the turn of the year when Rangers were level.
There's a big gap between the teams and 10% is nowhere near enough. If Rangers lift their game I have no doubt the current Celtic team have more than enough in the bag to lift it even further.
It'll be interesting to see who is the next manager and how much money he gets to spend.

Maybe. We’ll see. Mourinho should raise the profile of the Scottish game no end.If you think otherwise you're just kidding yourself on.

Bet you didn’t think Rangers would be 14 points clear of Aberdeen and Killie, and light years ahead of Hibs and Hearts this season...

Really? When did Rangers last beat Hibs (before today)?
Rangers aren’t light years ahead.

The league table would suggest otherwise.Really? When did Rangers last beat Hibs (before today)?
Rangers aren’t light years ahead.
But I’d argue they’re not light years ahead of Hibs, Hearts, etc. Remember since 2012 they’ve spent over £300m and have only won the Petrofac Cup.

Rangers have the ability to raise funds and so have a bigger and stronger squad than virtually every team apart from Celtic. Most other teams drop a lot off silly points during a season partially due to squad size and strength. This year, Rangers haven’t done that. Their strong squad has been more consistent than most other teams and that’s why there’s such a gap.
But I’d argue they’re not light years ahead of Hibs, Hearts, etc. Remember since 2012 they’ve spent over £300m and have only won the Petrofac Cup.
I enjoyed your list of reasons why Rangers are so far ahead of the Edinburgh clubs. Happy to agree that it’s not light years... But I’d argue they’re not light years ahead of Hibs, Hearts, etc. Remember since 2012 they’ve spent over £300m and have only won the Petrofac Cup.
...just 21 more points, 8 more wins, 29 more more goals and 8 more clean sheets
