I think Driver101 is looking at Rodgers through rose tinted specs because Celtic have been pretty flat all season.
We need 4 good signings to freshen up the team and Brown has to be used more sparingly.
With LG,KT and Christie back fully fit and 4 other quality signings we will be fine in Scotland and if we get them in quick enough maybe a chance to get through the group stages into the CL proper.

  1. trebletreble.

The thing was there was still good performances in with a lot of flat ones. Celtic would still dominate and win the games that really mattered. After the kick up the backside in December the team were winning games very easily and pulled away from the chasing pack. The last 3 months Celtic have looked consistently poor.

Gauging the player's reactions i don't think they want him. There is a few polls floating around and 75-80% are voting no for Lennon.

Celtic were flat towards the end of the season, but you can't take anything away from them in achieving the treble treble.

2018/19 was a shocker for Scottish football, but will ultimately be remembered for this unique achievement.

I'm no Celtic fan, but thought they would have looked to build on this and kick on with a proven manager at a higher level.

With Lennon, I can see Rangers getting much closer.

If they keep Gerrard yes, not that I've heard talk of him going anywhere.

He's done far better in his first season than I thought he would.

Lennon will not improve as a manager now but Gerrard probably will.

It’s more to do with being able to keep his good players (Kent Moronos etc) and what kind of quality he can bring in!
Rodgers was given no help in the transfer market but I think Lennon will and if he can now bring in his own back room staff things in the style of play will be considerably different next season!
Lennon was not my choice but better him than some left field choice because he has an exotic name and try’s to change things to quickly and jeopardises 9/10 in a row.

This is worrying especially if they bring in more quality. I still think Gerrard will improve a lot as a manager, he had a strong finish to the season, apart from Killie.

If it's to be Lennon then he obviously has my support, he'll be more comfortable with his old backroom staff. Add in some new marquee signing(s) (Do Celtic do marquee signings??) keep hold of the best of the squad and it will be OK. He still won't become a better manager, we may get better results as a result of new players though.

St Mirren staying in the league. I would have preferred Dundee Utd, but they didn't really deserve it. They are no better than St Mirren.

If Utd had won today St Mirren would have felt hard done to with the penalty and the red card. Utd got away with a few decisions themselves.

The penalty shootout was a disaster. The pressure was clearly too much for the Utd players as all 4 penalties were terrible.

Scotland men’s team’s recent attendances at Hampden, including friendlies against 2 of the best teams in Europe and crucial Nations League matches:

Belgium 20,196
Albania 17,455
Portugal 19,684
Israel 21,281

Women’s team vs Jamaica in a friendly on a Tuesday 18,555.

Incredible.

A fiver for an adult ticket probably helped...

Good to see the lassies getting decent support though.

Absolutely. IMO the tickets should always be priced to sell out the stadium. Soul destroying watching a 40% full national stadium.

Totally agree - an incredible support last night.

Hampden is a poor stadium at the best of times and especially when it's half-empty. They do good deals for kids football teams and I'm suprised more grassroots clubs don't go to games. I got tickets for four adults and 20 kids for about £30 a wee while ago.

It's official then, a 12 month rolling contract for Lennon.

Good luck to him.

I suppose it’s refreshing to hear about consenting adults for a change.

Interesting to see James Dornan MSP turning on Celtic recently. I wonder if Celtic are keeping back funds for the class action lawsuit and other such imminent court cases.

Well done if they are because other clubs would hide behind liquidation when it suits of course!
