I kind of feel sorry for McInnes but football is the entertainment business And his side couldn’t score in we house with diamonds on its dick.
I read a bit earlier he's complaining that Aberdeen have been denied about 5 penalties in recent games.

It's only made an issue if it's Rangers or Celtic apparently.

Sorry to drag the dark side into this chat again, but this is a shocking story: https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/18222003.anger...

If they are the same club then that club should surely repay their own supporters?

I think most folk know legally it isnt the same club.

For financial reasons it would appear many pretend otherwise.

Lest not forget!

The whole thing is clearly a scandal - you can only admire the staunch loyalty of the bond holders who seem to be affected. Lots of people got rich through this whole saga, none of them were true supporters of the club. One thing I never understood is why the ‘club’ couldn’t call in the 45mil in ‘loans’ that were paid to EBT recipients - that could have avoided everything that subsequently happened.

Yep. They can’t be the old club for trophies and records and a new club for financial reasons!

Yep, it got my name earlier. Ridiculous decision by the BBC if they continue with it.
It was pointed out earlier by Stuart Cosgrove that the OFCOM investigation into ‘interview-gate’ will find out who was responsible for scripts and translations, and that the findings will be published. Will be very interesting.
To clarify, Celtic are annoyed at the insinuation that their fans are racists? I wonder how they’ll deal with Police Scotland charging children for racially abusing Alfredo Morelos then.

A shocking development in many ways.

Welcome back. I thought you were banned.

Children? I read it was one child. Still that's not so great.

If you filter through a crowd at every game you're going to find inappropriate language and behaviour. Usually the only people pulled up is when it's blatant.

laugh why would I be banned? Just took a wee break.

Yes one child, sorry. Quite unbelievable - I’m not sure how such a prosecution comes about(!?) in terms of evidence, public interest, etc. Makes you wonder what football does to our society with all the UVF and IRA and racist chanting...

Just unlike you not to be on.

I guess someone has made a formal complaint? Every other case I can think of we have usually all seen before the police are forced to act.

I did see people people reporting a clip after forensically analyzing every social media post trying to hear something. I guess in one sense if teams start doing that a lot of people will soon be banned and charged, but it just comes across as childish bickering and reflects badly on everyone if every debatable sound enhanced clip that's still muffled counts as evidence.

There is no details about what the boy did. Was it captured and we didn't see, or was he picked up on a fellow supporter's phone and only heard within his section? I guess we will never know.

It’s quite liberating tbh. I maybe have a bit of an addictive personality and get stuck into arguing about minutiae so the break was good. I’m having a few days off so I thought I’d come back and see what the chat is.

Just so happens that my big interests - scottish politics and scottish football - have sort of taken a weird turn since I logged in again silly

I don’t doubt there’s 12 year olds singing about King Billy or whatever at Ibrox, btw.

I see Rangers have released a statement. Apparently they didn't want to say anything when there was a live investigation. Then ran out on a rambling tangent nothing to do with the 12 year old. A lot of anger and deflection in that statement.

The incident with the 12 year old had nothing to do with most of the st going on and it's no reason for the statement.

Surely if you are concerned about not commenting about a live investigation you don't effectively call the 12 year old guilty before any trial?

Rangers offering the 12 year old a place on one of their courses about racism? There's something extremely ironic about that. Without a doubt if the 12 year old is guilty of racism he needs punishment and/or assistance. However Rangers aren't the people to be offering that education.

Using a 12 year old as the pawn for that statement and the content of that statement is off the scale. Desperate attempts at point scoring that just make Rangers a laughing stock.

Crikey, not again...

Of course it’s a different company, no one denies that. The trickier question is it the same club?

Traynor doing his best pointing the finger at everyone else to deflect away from themselves. Why the need for a statement against a 12 yo child while they have twice had sections closed due to racist chants etc. Just point tallying nonsense.

Lets throw a 12 yo under the bus on a case before it's even been heard, as my guess is a not a lot will come from it!

I'm not saying ignore racism, it really does need dealt with but this isn't the way and doesn't help matters! Embarrassing!

Ha, I assumed you were banned too!

I've been saying for years that the way "we" behave at football matches whether it's racist, aggressive, sectarian (which goes both ways, simoid), or whatever is not good for society. I shouldn't have to explain this guff to my kids in this day and age?
