With so little recent form to go on ahead of this momentous season, this is my predicated table:

1: Celtic
2 - 12: whatever

tongue out

Hamilton to finish bottom, I was going to put a decent bet on but 7/4 and to wait 9 months for the pay out is not worth the hassle.

Also difficult to back any one for relegation with the transfer window not closing until October, a nervous owner could see a bad start and remedy with some decent players in early Oct.

Dundee united are a bit of an unknown, not sure how many of their players will make the step up but I do think Micky Mellon is a step up on Robbie Neilson as manager.

Kilmarnock are a good bet at 5/6 to finish in the top 6, they have signed some decent players.

My bet for the opening weekend is a Dundee united home win - I don’t rate St Johnstone’s squad or new signings nor do I rate their new manager Callum Davidson.
17/10 a good price for a Dundee united home win

I've no idea how the games will go this weekend, I'm just glad we're back to talking about football.

I just noticed the mistake from the fixtures I copied. Aberdeen v Rangers is 12.30 today and not 17.30. It was changed weeks ago.

The atmosphere created by the seagulls. laugh

How loud are they?

Aberdeen look totally disinterested and very slow. If there was 20,000 screaming fans they wouldn't be jogging over to close down their man.

Just lost a goal too.

I've watched about 10 minutes of it, no atmosphere and Aberdeen don't look interested.

Aberdeen have been absolutely garbage. They may as well have not bothered to turn up.

Kris Boyd said before the game that the ref would be rusty too. Clearly he hasn't forgotten the give everything to Rangers rule. laugh Some dodgy decisions for Rangers and nothing for Aberdeen.

I think due to the ongoing pandemic they should just call the 20/21 season now smile

Aberdeen utterly clueless - McInnes is presumably now pointing out to them that was the first game of the new league season. Rangers could have taken more advantage, very comfy at 1-0.

That was chronic. I don't remember seeing a poorer game.

I really hoped we'd have seen the back of McCoist when BT lost the TV deal. He's awful as a commentator.

I wonder how many people will be willing to pay the prices for streamed games?

£20 to watch a Livingston game?

I was going to buy the Dundee united game but not at £12.50 if I have to watch it on a pc screen

Is there anyway of getting them streamed to a now tv or roku stick instead?

Aberdeen vs rangers

Aberdeen looked poor, a yard of the pace.
Rangers looked comfortable but still lack that killer instinct, they should have been 3 nil up and game over.
I though the ref was lenient to the Aberdeen players who were clearly trying to wind up Morelos in the 2nd half.

Rangers had a couple of chances well into the second half, but before that they didn't have any real chances. I'm not sure how you could say Rangers should have been 3 up.

The Aberdeen players had a few nibbles at Morelos. None of them were bad and Morelos made them look worse. He should have been booked for diving too. He looks the player he was after the winter break.

It was the lack of effort by Aberdeen that was criminal. Looks like they need the fans on their backs.

Early season form means nothing... as StevieG said in his post match interview “no-one will get carried away."

Edinburger will. He's top of the PH league and Hibs top of the real league. He'll never see it again. laugh
