More crowd trouble, this time at Pittodrie today. As well as the Rangers team bus being vandalised with reference to the Ibrox Disaster.
It's depressing how toxic the general atmosphere around Scottish football is at the moment - can't remember it being this bad say 10-15 years ago. Or perhaps it was and it's only because of social media etc we are exposed to it more?
On a more positive note that was some free kick to take the 3 points for Aberdeen.
The scratching of the bus is out of order, but much worse has happened in the past. It's depressing how toxic the general atmosphere around Scottish football is at the moment - can't remember it being this bad say 10-15 years ago. What crowd trouble was there other than a few Aberdeen supporters with gashes after all the coins thrown? Other than that I read the atmosphere was subdued. The coin throwing is serious.
I do think there's far more anger in Scottish football at the moment and there has been for 4 years. Most of it is making a mountain out of tedious matters.
Other teams have been winding Rangers up with little stunts and comments, but they don't half bite every time. They'll keep doing it when they get so much success.
I don't ever remember companies facing so much campaigns of complaint every time somebody says something they don't agree with. There's so many sensitive souls looking to be offended over nothing.

Warbs starting to lose the plot imo, it was a free kick all day long.
He also said that they controlled the game from start to finish! Tavernier got the ball first, no foul for me - great challenge in fact.

Crowd trouble at football matches is a lot less than it was 10-20 years ago but we hear much more about it now due to social media, etc.
Certain teams attract trouble but I don't think the Aberdeen v Rangers match was particularly bad. Vandalising the bus was bad taste though.

The only reason the Aberdeen fans got so mouthy and big headed is was they were convinced they were going to win. You don't go to that level of mocking if you are going to lose. For weeks I've had to listen to how they all thought they were going to win easily. They didn't think the game would even be close.Crowd trouble at football matches is a lot less than it was 10-20 years ago but we hear much more about it now due to social media, etc.

Rangers fans took the piss out of them for years. Now they are the better side they are only dishing some of it back.
The minute's applause ruffled so many feathers. Is mocking with applause really enough to rip up and throw chairs and coins, especially a club already under scrutiny for their behaviour a couple of weeks back?
There was only 2 people arrested. That was for a game the police expected trouble and had a far higher presence for it. 16 Maribor fans got arrested a few months back. There was only 30 of them at the game!!!!
Even the arrests at the Celtic v Rangers game a few weeks back were very low.
Obviously retrospective action is going to be taken about the dolls and the wrecked toilets. Years ago wrecked toilets were dealt with between the clubs and didn't make public news. Years ago nobody would have made a big deal about the dolls.
The issue is Rangers want to go public and shame all the other clubs when something isn't right. Sadly any st they can dish out will always come back twice as hard in retaliation.
It's making news, it's selling papers and making Scottish football look bad. All this st happens all over the football world. We're only in the spotlight as there's so many people wanting to make issues over nothing and internal matters now getting played out in public.
It's doing nobody any good at the moment.

Also, the sport of football as well as the majority of fans utterly despise Rangers for how they've treated everyone and brought the Scottish game to shame over the last decade or two. Let's not forget the sectarian hatred they spread.
Add that little lot together and red carpets stay in the cupboard.

Might as well rename this the Official Rangers thread, seeing as it's all you ever talk about.
Not me!Well except on the 6 out of 7 posts you've made on this page, which directly mention Rangers or allude to Rangers, our fans or the 'Old Firm'.
