The level hatred of Lennon by some folk on here is off the scale ridiculous. The reasons / excuses are pathetic. Did I read the words “reprehensible” and “utterly disgusting”? I can understand a competitive dislike, but in the footballing sphere, what can you possibly do that would warrant this description? Some people need a word with themselves. Especially those who may have celebrated El Hadji Diouf when he was in blue.
New club same old bigoted supporters! Are the Lennon hating celtic supporters bigots or is it just the Lennon hating rangers supporters?
To tell grown men the reason they don't like somebody is different to what they state is quite frankly ridiculous. The real reason posters are making these accusations is that they enjoy name calling.

It just doesn't fit the agenda to admit the truth that Neil Lennon is disliked by most because of his conduct, not because of where he was born or what religion he follows. Its far more appealing to play the victim card.
Scott Brown is pretty much hated by every Rangers fan too, why's that then? He's Scottish. I'd say him and Lemon are getting the same treatment... we don't like them because of the way they conduct themselves.
Its no more or less different than Celtic fans hating various players from our side over the years. Theres no need to try and twist it into something sinister.

Hang on a minute here, you've quoted me three times trying to started a conversation about Lennon on here before I responded once to you.
Yes. To start a conversation about Lennon. You seem to want to talk about me, and/or whatever Rangers player you don't like just now.Driver101 said:
You've make a few big statements about him. I simply asked you to back up why he was a "despicable excuse for a human being". You've also added it's "indisputable" he is a bigot.
Which I did.Driver101 said:
Your initial reaction was bizarre. My post was polite and how you managed to take exception to that was odd. Now that your opinion has been challenged you're not getting in an argument with me?
My initial reaction? I'm not sure what you're referring to, but calling someone a snowflake is not consideredd polite, it's generally a good indication that the person saying it is a bit of a tool.Driver101 said:
You instigated the conversation. You made the big personal slurs and don't appear to have much foundation for your hatred. Don't run away and pretend it's me that is at fault for being argumentative.
What big personal slurs? Is stating that I've seen a video of him calling someone an 'orange bd' a slur on my behalf? Is pointing out that he has history of threatening violence against women a slur? I've said nothing that can't be evidenced.Driver101 said:
Back up your opinion like you've asked others to do.
Have I been asking people do back up their opinions? I've backed mine up, you just don't like what you're reading through your green tinted glasses. And that's fine, just don't pretend it's me that the issue here.Edited by Driver101 on Wednesday 24th February 19:15

What part of the way he conducts himself on the football park begins to explain the level of hate, threats and violence he has faced? Remember the issues started as soon as he came to Scotland. People didn't judge him on his actions.
There is a lot of footballers I don't like. Nothing reduces me to spend my life getting upset by them, abusing them on the internet at every opportunity, or offering genuine threats of violence.
As per this thread and Rangers forum, there is plenty of people more obsessed about Lennon than they are their own team. It's extremely unhealthy and fuelled by bigotry. Even the ones who don't think they are bigots feel compelled to join in with the mob mentality and become part of the problem.

More than one account?

Obviously nothing he's done explains threats and violence but I posted a couple of YouTube links above to show why we don't like him.
If you're determined to play the victim card then nothing anyone's gonna say in reply will change your mind.
Beleive it or not... Most of us just don't like him as he's an ahole. Theres nothing else sinister lurking underneath it.

The other was a poor reaction to something said that we don't know after a very ill tempered game. He won, so to react so badly to McCoist suggests what was said to him probably overstepped the mark. A quick search finds that McCoist won't admit what he said.
It's best we leave the Lennon chat from the forum. It's drags it back into the gutter and brings more angry people to the thread.
It's done for me.

Why do all the Rangers fans that come here have the same passive aggressive attitude?
More than one account?
What is it that's convincing you that I'm a Rangers fan?More than one account?
Is it when I told you my thoughts on Gazza, and how similar they are to my thoughts on Lennon?
Was it where I explained that I'm not a Rangers fan, and not of their particular 'ethnic persuasion'?
Or was it when I made it clear I was a Saint Mirren supporter?
Old firm fans need to get over themselves, it's not always about you

I think it was unfounded accusations of bigotry that made people angry. thewarlock said:

You never told me about Gazza. I didn't ask.
When I was talking Ryan Kent weeks ago you quoted me to divert to Lennon. You also defended Kent with stats to hand.
Your only other recent post is asking about Gerrard.
Now that Lennon has been sacked you've become very vocal and angry. You've shown good knowledge of lip reading and 15 year old videos. Also tabloid news stories from many years ago too. You're on the ball with Lennon.
It's not all about the Old Firm? Your only input to this thread is ALL Celtic and Rangers related.
I don't think anyone will believe you.

I'm not at all angry. You seem to be angry, I'm not. It's not my team or my ex-manager that's being discussed. I'm not the one trying to defend the indefensible.
Frankly, I don't care if you believe me. You hardly seem like the most rational or stable person here.
What sort of weird Uncle Tom would pretend to be a Saint Mirren fan, when they're really an old firm fan?

You're not angry, but you keep having to resort to insults? Grow up. I'm not at all angry. You seem to be angry, I'm not. It's not my team or my ex-manager that's being discussed. I'm not the one trying to defend the indefensible.

I suggested you're not the most rational or stable, because you seem to have some sort of obsession with me? I find it quite odd that you went to the effort of doing some research into my posting history, to post some stats on it, as well as your continued defense of someone widely accepted to be a bigot and general all round POS.
If you choose to take that as an insult, that's entirely your problem. Maybe it's you that's the snowflake?
Moving on, does anyone think Neil will find himself another managing job any time soon? Will anyone take him? Is there a Championship or league 1 team that would take a chance on him?
