I'm going to have to ask my dad about all these old players being mentioned in here today.
Well son, Pat Jennings could catch a cross one-handed, and often picked the ball up with one hand. In Blib's photo I thing 4 is Alan Mullery and 5 is Mike England. Not sure about the other two ...

How thrilled does he look in all the photos where he's picking up silverware for Spurs?

Jennings could throw a ball 15 yards over the half way line. And that's a proper, manly, heavy, laced, waterlogged, leather ball. Not the namby pamby balloons that they use nowadays.

I had a chance to talk to him at a Spurs game a couple of seasons ago. I was too star struck to say anything coherent. I just sort of babbled at him.

Jennings is probably the only man to have played for both Arsenal & Spurs that both sets of fans share the highest respect for.

Jennings was treated abysmally by Spurs in the Irving Scholar years & that's why he signed foe Arsenal when he could of earned a lot more at Ipswich Town when the late & much missed Sir Bobby Robson asked him to join.
