I was out at a car meet so didn't watch the game. How was it? Read that their goal should have been given as off side. Kane scores again. Hopefully after the international break they'll all be back fit and start playing properly again.

Being top in May and missing out is where it's really at.

I think for the majority of the match we were the better side but we still can't score. We have now not scored a goal in open play for 6 matches and we've drawn 5 out of our last 7 games. I know I've been accused of negativity but not sure how anyone can say those are positive stats.

Well, we've not lost and we've been without our 25 goals a season, talismanic striker and we're only 19 points from safety. Not bad at all.

You've been without Kane, but it doesn't seem like your other attack minded players are producing much to win you games.

any stats guys here.....

how many times have we hit the woodwork
how many chances (on and off target) have there been
and how many goals off set pieces/corners

I would say the only game we played badly was the Wembley game vs bayer
we seem to get the 'best performance of the season' from many of the opposing goalkeepers for some reason

a telling stat is our midfielders aren't scoring as freely as before esp alli, Ericson and lamella

I also think we need to get a few more 'wimmer' goals, but at the right end, and that calls for better deliveries

I could think of 13/14 reasons why it will be different this year, wink

Sounds a bit like us quite a few recent seasons - lots of chances but just not putting them away. At least you have a good defence which is keeping you in the running. It could be tricky to keep up this year though, as it seems quite a few teams are doing well and so it might not just be one club to catch up, so it's a lot less likely both/ they will all slip up. But early days, so we will see. I would be happy if you finished in 2nd behind us, biggrin

We still lack a bit of strength in depth IMO. This was brought home to me at the weekend when I saw the subs Arsenal were able to bring on, all of which could probably walk onto most first team sheets.

We have a couple of players out and we are struggling. It's a shame our pre-season buys don't seem to have panned out as it means we aren't really any stronger than we were last season, meanwhile other teams have improved their squads.

Wanyama has done well I agree but he is the only useful addition to our squad this year, most of the others were already there. Janssen just doesn't look like a premiership player at the moment and as for Sissoko, we were had. smile

Anyway hopefully we'll have a full squad against the Hammers so I'm hoping that you are right and we get a convincing win.

Still unbeaten in the league. ignore the obvious wum'ing.

Just come back form my virtual tour of the new ground, its going to be bloody awesome, worth doing! made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Also got some literature on the new premium seating, happy to send if anyone is interested.
