Agree with this piece in today's Telegraph:-

+1.
I'd extend his contract by a year or 2. This summer is going to be interesting, the squad needs overhauling with possibly a bit of a clearout. Much as I rate our first choice front 2, AC and Sakho, they simply just don't play enough and the second string aren't up to the required standard. I don't claim to know who to replace them with but the EPL is all about goals and without a 15/20 goal man teams struggle.
There's no question for me that Bilic should stay, we need a period of stability not constant change. However we do need the Daves to back him with some decent signings not blokes they think may come good if we get them on the cheap. There's only so many times you can be lucky with an Antoni or a Lanzini.

I expect that the Season will be reviewed in a couple of weeks w/ the Board & SS. I'd expect them to be looking at all options re Manager & playing staff though.

Season's generally been a horror for which they all need to take a portion of the blame, along w/ some of the crowd earlier on, stadium management etc, etc.

SS's been tactically naive too many times though & has made some odd in-game decisions along the way, especially w/ regard to subs & in-game management, which has been shambolic all season; although the players, particularly the experienced ones - of which the bulk of the first team are - ought to be accountable for that (probably won't be though).

SS has got it spot on a few times - spuds being the best example, christ knows why we haven't been able to perform like that all season, would've been a straightforward run to the Top 10 wink .

Hopefully squads not quite on the beach though as two more decent performances will help our final league position & summer recruitment - it's pretty clear where we need additions; plus agree w/ comment re a clear-out, although those that we probably want to shift might struggle to find Clubs due to injury/attitude/being st.

Key area though is that the squad & Club need urgent action regarding fitness & injuries - it's a major problem every single season.

It is and didn't Bilic insist on a new surface at the training ground or was a totally new training ground? I seem to remember this was intended to solve the issue?

I do wonder about some of Slav's tactics sometimes but I'm not sure any other manager would do better than mid table under the current circumstances and goings on. So on that basis I would say he should get at least one more year but wouldn't be surprised if he is replaced.

It was always the intention to move to Rush Green from Chadwell Heath, they'd sober a fortune on improvements in the previous couple if years and the academy was already over there.
The first team just went there a few months earlier than first envisaged.

Antonio voted HOTY last night: http://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/may/09-may...

Unsurprisingly AC picked up our Goal of the Season for the belter against palace.

I think that was all media/agent stir to get him on par with our other key players.

Or it's just tripled his value biggrin

Loads of people didn't get on at Benfleet - don't think they know there is a bus replacement up the main line to Upminster. They're going to miss the start I reckon
