I could have been sitting in a nice pub garden somewhere enjoying the sunshine and a drink
Think our players need to buy some longer studs for next season - might help them stand up a bit more instead of falling over every time the ball got near them.
Chap on the DLR before the game was telling anyone who would listen that Calleri was 'absolute mustard' and 'a world-class player'. Hope he isn't on the West Ham Transfer Panel....
Crowd was flat too - nothing like the Spurs game. And still loads and loads of empty seats around me - even for the last home game of the season, against one of the 'big clubs'. Mind you, they had the right idea today.......

Hopefully we'll never have to watch 50% of that starting 11 again.
Start with sticking Calleri on the first flight to Buenos Aires tomorrow & play Fletcher up front next week. Follow that by making Ayew stare at an open goal for 48 hrs. Useless tosser.
I was in a good mood this morning.

Pretty much everything me and Ben said today !Think our players need to buy some longer studs for next season - might help them stand up a bit more instead of falling over every time the ball got near them.

Must confess I never expected it to be like the Spurs game and I watched the Spanish Grand Prix out of preference. 50+ years as a Hammers fan gave me an inkling of what to expect. As it was I saw a great race, cut the grass and had a beer in the late afternoon sunshine. Roll on next season although I won't have high expectations.
We had 8 missing through injury yesterday ( and yet all the press banged on about was how much a loss notformeno was to the reds.
We could have lost by 8, yet perversely could have been 2-1 up at the break.
Am I expecting too much, that the senior players/big money buys step up to the plate in those circumstances ?
Ayew yesterday was completely and utterly anonymous ... Other than being so embarrassingly one footed that he missed an open goal from one yard because he was so inept at using his right foot ( yes from one yard) that he had to try and hook his left on it.
Collins got torn one, Cresswell seems so short of pace he doesn't get tight anymore,Nordveldt was a statue at times ( other than a couple of Hollywood passes).
The balls out of defence were shocking, Fernandez refuses to play anything more than a 5 yard pass, and generally has no influence on any game. The persistence of Callieri playing must now stop,Fletcher isn't any sort of answer either.
As for Slav..the sudden change to a flat back four at one nil was a complete disaster ( and he brought the wrong centre half off)...And can anyone on the planet tell me what was the point on the putting Snodgrass on at 4 nil down with 10 minutes to go?.... Why on earth not bring on one of the two youngsters on the bench to give them a boost ???

There's been zero collective responsibility many times this season; most noticeably when we're taking a hiding.
Yesterday was shameful, again. If anything positive comes from it though it'll be a timely reminder to the board that the playing staff's not good enough, fitness levels are st, decision making on the pitch is woeful, that the Managers decisions are again very questionable & that players bringing kids onto the pitch ought to wait until the games finished FFS.
We were however playing a full strength oppo who had a target - from the celebrations that must've been the fking world cup; our lot had already stuck their cases on the plan for a getaway on 90 mins.
Appropriate way to sign off what's been a crap season - next game at the Stadium won't be for ages now as sports day's being hosted in the summer.

Sounds like Zabaleta is pretty much a done deal - we'll be able to field a side in the Veterans League soon, at this rate.
