Not only wouldn't I agree, I'd say it's absolute nonsense! https://cultureandpolitics.org/2017/11/06/thoughts...
To quote " There is a zero line of causality between the fortunes, or otherwise, of a football club and the figure who happens to be at the helm". So the picking the team, deciding the formation, the tactics, training, acquisitions etc. has no effect, whatsoever? Total crap. If that's the case I should have called the Daves and asked for the job.

That’s quite simply the best summing up you will ever read about the Bilic era.You could go through this thread an amalgamate a set of commevts that would be that article word for word.

I suppose we all hope he does well, else we wouldn't be supporters. He also "has my support" in that I would hate to see numbskull #Moyesout banners at the ground before he's even started. What a way to welcome a new manager that would be. However, I can't say I am overly enthusiastic about the appointment.
Moog75, is your support in the same vein or do you actually see this as a positive step forward?
In the same vein as long term he is not the answer, and the only positive step forward he will possibly bring would be to tighten up the defence and get the team playing with some sort of shape and game plan.Moog75, is your support in the same vein or do you actually see this as a positive step forward?
I have heard the term 'laughing stock' bandied about regarding us, mostly from our own fans. I tell you what though...turn up with 'moyes out' banners and start booing and it will be the fans that will have turned us into a laughing stock more so than the owners/manager/exmanager/players.
As a Manchester City fan, I wonder what WH fans think of Joe Hart?
I was never impressed with him at City, neither was Pep, he's OK but nothing special.
Tries to save too many shots with his outstretched legs, and is very poor low down to the left.
I wish West Ham well though,...... there was a topic on Blue Moon...."Which club would you support if you didn't support City?" and West Ham won easily.
Good luck with Moyes, I think you'll need it, although he did OK at Everton.

There’s a bit of nice history between the fans from a few years back, hence why we would have topped that poll!I was never impressed with him at City, neither was Pep, he's OK but nothing special.

As for Hart,he’s done very little wrong, could maybe have done a tiny bit better with only a couple of the ones that have gone past him this season( and there have been many). It’s true he’s nowhere near the peak of 4/5 years ago, but he’s not let us down at all.
And saving with you legs is as relevant as saving with your hands,in fact you very rarely see him beaten when he scissors , where as a lot of keepers are done through the legs( look at the 3rd goal Saturday for a good example, before they got the rebound )
For me he’s just the latest figure of hate for those with a sheep mentality.

As a Spurs fan, I feel absolutely gutted for WHU fans.
2 years ago - new stadium, one of the best players in the league tearing it up, an old fan faithful at the helm, it was all looking so good.
Now it looks like an absolute pigs ear of a football club, the 2 Dave's can't do anything right.
You don't deserve it and I would be absolutely gutted if it were my club.

Is moyes really that bad?? Taking over from Fergie was the most impossible job in football, at sunderland he was given a championship squad and told to keep the club in the premier league and then was given no money to try and achieve it.
If he mirrors what he did at everton for west ham he'll be their most successful manager of recent times.
I reckon if the natives give him a chance and the board dont continually undermine him then he will be just what WHU need.

As it’s confirmed, it’s time to stop the whinging.
Good luck to the bloke, it’s my club that I love and it’s we now get on and back him to the hilt.
A couple of gritty fighting performances with the players looking like they’re enjoying life again will soon get the fans back inside.

For better or worse Moyes is the new boss and we all need to get behind him.
