Apparently that’s 10 soft tissue injuries we have now - surely there’s an issue with the medical team??

And Ayew also injured? How? He’s barely fecking played!
Been like this for years...
Annoying thing is that we've got a new training ground & replaced most of the medical staff over last couple of years - appears to have made no difference.

Ayew touch a smack on Tues in the Cup so suspect it's that that kept him out yesterday.

That's the end of the season effectively. Nice early summer break; he can come back ready for the new season rolleyes

Lanzini's a massive blow as we're fking terrible without him.

Lanzini out for 4/5 weeks. Arnoutovic out for 3/4 weeks.

We’re doooomed.

I saw that. What on earth is it about this club that just cannot get a player through the season without injury. I refuse to accept 'bad luck' as its just not possible to have had 'bad luck' for decades whilst other clubs seem able to have avialable most of their first eleven through 80% or more of the season.

So could a Joao Mario/Hernandez front line partnership get us through the next 4 weeks or so in the absence of Arnautovic and Lanzini?

I’d like to see a Hernandez get a good run in the starting XI - he’s a proven goal scorer and has been woefully underused IMO.

I know he got injured on international duty but that was back in November(?) and he seems to have spent a fair amount of time on the bench since then - wonder if Moyes simply doesn’t fancy him, or he wants away?

I think we would have to rework how we play, Arnie worked as he is a big lump as well as a competent player. Chico is not the same and wont be holding the ball up and running at players. We need to get ball in behind the full backs, and get the ball laterally in to the box for the master poacher. Unfortunately that requires us to play some sort of possession football...!

Very true! But we don’t have AC or Arnie for a few weeks, so we are going to have to change I think. The problem being that if we don’t and just pump long balls forward or high balls into the box, then Hernandez will get pissed off very quickly (even more so than he looks already).

Ha! Yes, our midfield try to pass it but the passing is at best iffy and rushed then they get closed down and panic and lose the ball and are scrambling about trying to cover back...if it wasn't such an issue it is quite hilarious to watch!

"...paperwork still to be completed"

There is still time for our club to balls it up!

All very good except that Sakho and Hernandez want out.

Hasn’t he just bought a house down here though? Could still be some legs in it. Unfortunately.
