Fabianski done. Somewhat underwhelmed with this one.

In fairness he's gone from Flappyhandsski at Arsenal, worked really hard at his game( seen lots of his technical training vids while Ben was in the system)and turned himself into a really solid Prem' level keeper.https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2018/june/20-j...
None of the flashiness of Adrian, or making straightforward saves look flash, just decent nowadays all round.
I know you can make stats say anything but his have been very consistent for 3/4 years now and was only behind De Gea and Pope last season in important areas.
Would have loved Heatin or Pope as I can’t see Burnley keeping them both happy but they’d have cost circa 20 mil more anyway.
I think he’ll surprise a few people.
Wilshere is tempting but at 100k a week we could see him injured in game two and be out for 3 months.
I think the club has to invest in proven class player with no history of injury to at least give us a chance, it means £s which we are going to do well to extract from the club but I do worry Wilshere and Carroll will become treatment room buddies.
Club should go all out and try get the Felipe Anderson deal over the line, he looks a fantastic player.

Agree. Not keen on Wilshere but I can see it happening - we need creativity. Question then (ignoring the transfer fee & that they provide different options) - Maria or Wilshere?

I edited the above, Anderson! He looks a much better player than Mario, if we can get the deal done at £35m he would be a massive upgrade on either Wilshere or Mario.Question then (ignoring the transfer fee & that they provide different options) - Maria or Wilshere?
I think its purely Lazio owners playing silly buggars. The player sounds like he wants out, they are just playing a game of who can hold their nerve the longest.
Bit concerned about more rumours of clubs speaking with representatives of Arnie, it would be 1 step forwards 2 back if we bring someone like Anderson in and let Arnie go.

Sounds like Anderson is keen on coming but as has been said, it’s Lazio doing the mucking about this time - keep increasing the fee and adding on extras - I don’t much care for GSB but there does come a time when I’d agree with them simply pulling the plug and walking away.
It’s a big chunk of £££ for WH to lay out (I heard that they have offered 50% up front which was quite a surprise, given Sulli’s history) - I’m still convinced that there is money being put up behind the scenes......

I also heard the agent of Diop tried to step in with a huge fee for the transfer at the last minute, apparently WHU said it can come out of Diops wages then, the agent backed down and the transfer went through!
I think Pellegrini and Husillos are doing a good job so for in terms of going after players, even though its early stage. I also think the club should walk away from deals when clubs mess around.

So chaps, bit early I know but do we think things will actually change next season or is it going to be "Brave New Dawn Number 28" and "Relegation Battle Number 63" ? and we'll end the season with Neil Warnock (other bellends are available) as manager.
Depends on injuries and how well the board treat the new manager really. Wasn't that long ago we were finishing top 6 one season...if we can keep hold of Arnie, get appropriate midfielders in, work out how Chico fits in etc. then we have a good team.Seri would be a cracking signing. I am happy with our business so far, and getting Seri and A.N Other would be a great summer. We have addressed several key areas, and as long as we get a DM and a replacement for Lanzini, and can keep Arnie and get Chicharito in the team, then the coming season could well be a cracker!
