Pity we conceeded right at the end (decent goal though), comfortable overall though.

I missed the game as I was playing football myself, but sounds like Rice had a good 45 (really hope he gets that defensive midfield berth and signs a contract!) and lovely pass from Anderson for the second, he looks very quick footed and skillful.

Should we dare to get excited...?

I'm going to take a punt and say YES! This is our year lol

For reference my first game was 1991 vs Aston Villa, we won 3-1 as well in that one! Daley scored right at the end of the first half, then the mighty Leroy Rosenior got us back into it I think Kenny Brown and Mike Small scored also. Was standing back then, making sure we were in front of the barriers so the rush when we scored didnt squash us! Villa had a good team back then, McGrath, Regis, Ehiogu, etc.

Can't remember my 1st except Arry was running up the wing in front of us...........do remember Hurst & Sissons getting hatricks against Leeds in the cup when we beat them 7-0 - 1966.

You old gits!

Would loved to have seen some of those players - I caught the likes of Alvin Martin, Bonds etc. Phil Parkes!

My first was QPR away. Never forget that day, even if we did lose 2-1!

First game was the 75 Cup final, however the second one was this, the one that got me hooked on the sometimes electric atmosphere of our club and east end football humour.Goal down in no time, Pike missing a pen on the stroke of halftime, beating Man U under lights.

From the BBC News App:-

Barcelona will hold talks with West Ham over the weekend about a possible £600,000 deal for the Hammers' 18-year-old Portuguese winger Domingos Quina.

Anyone know anything about him?

He's well thought of - more so if Barca are genuinely interested.

Played a couple times last year.

If we don't need to sell then maybe a loan.

Another win today - I'm away so couldn't make it, first goal for Anderson & another for Arnie. Decent pre-season so far.
