He managed that hattrick in 10 mins or so which is pretty impressive.
Martinez is still only 21 so maybe some future - always looked OK when I've seen him, although his strike rate from the his previous loan spells has been crap.
I think his playing time out on other loans was low, he scored something like a goal a game for the U23s. His contract is up next summer so he could well be released...Martinez is still only 21 so maybe some future - always looked OK when I've seen him, although his strike rate from the his previous loan spells has been crap.
Watched the U23s highlights from last night and Silvas goals were really well taken, looks a very good prospect based on how well he put all three away.

So Martinez is out on loan again this season, I really dont think he has a future at West Ham unfortunately. Off to some second tier spanish side.
In brighter news, Xande Silva hit a hattrick against Spurs last night for the U23s - looks a promising acquisition.

So for all the agents hype, Martinez didn't go to Barca/Real/Bayern, but ended up in the equivalent of the home pride cooking sauce league div2.As you say, his loan spells have nothing, probably make as decent living out of the game though. a la Freddie Sears etc
So where do we think Issa Diop sits in the grand scheme of things...aside from on the bench? A lot of money to be sat there playing second fiddle to the current pairing. I havent seen enough of him to really know how good he is but it does seem like a lot of cash to spend on a sub...even if they have a bright future

Apart from the friendly v Villa (which I think he played in) I've seen nothing of him - there'll be a chance for him though if we ship another st load of goals at the weekend. coldel said:
Not sure, wasn't listed anywhere as injured. I would think if Pellegrini goes with a back four Cresswell would be our first choice left back, Masuaku is definitely a wing back he cannot do the out and out back four full back role.
That’s what I was thinking, I like Cresswell as a defender. Arthur has good feet and can worry defenders but doesn’t seem to have a brain.TCEvo said:

Anyone why Cresswell wasn’t playing or at least on the bench at Liverpool?
Carrying an injury apparently - question came up on Twitter the other day & one of the decent sources confirmed so. And I'll stick me neck out and say we won't be shipping loads of goals on Saturday.........all will be well.....sort of.
