...and in other news Repka has got a 6 month stretch in a Czech jail for revenge porn on his ex-wife!
I saw that earlier; the lambo will have to go into storage for a bit - bloke's a loon. RichB said:

Club needs a Repka; Bonzo, Dicksie, Butcher, Chopper Harris, Billy Bremner...
Do you think they’d get into the second half before being sent off?sjc said:

Do you think they’d get into the second half before being sent off?West Ham vs Arsenal, FA Cup final, Allen through on goal in the dying minutes, (Rice I think it was) just hoofs his heels away as the last man from behind just outside the box. Yellow card. West Ham just got on with it without surrounding the referee and going bonkers. Allen gets up with rueful smile on his face but also gets on with it (well thats what i remember of it!). Imagine it now...bunch of primadonnas screaming obscenities at the ref and linesfolk at half the decisions made.

It would be a straight red card now.Yes Willie Young that was it! (couldnt be bothered to google it my bad). An absolute textbook example of why straight reds for that were brought in. And yes 17 year old through on goal...oh and there is history gone
Don't get me wrong, football back in the 80s wasn't exactly pretty to watch, no where near as fast and free flowing as it is now, players are much fitter, faster, etc. but I do wish players nowadays would cut out all the crap and focus on manning up and playing the game.

I was there at that final and will never forget the day. Apparently it wasn't a great game but you couldn't have told me that on the day, I was thrilled and very very nervous as we got closer to the final whistle with our 1 goal lead.Don't get me wrong, football back in the 80s wasn't exactly pretty to watch, no where near as fast and free flowing as it is now, players are much fitter, faster, etc. but I do wish players nowadays would cut out all the crap and focus on manning up and playing the game.
I also remember driving away from Wembley with a can of beer in one hand, what on earth was I thinking of. I wouldn't have been over the limit but literally drinking and driving at the same time.

The rozzers will be after you now, admittance of guilt! I was 6 for that final, so was not there! My parents and brother both hate football, I was kind of forging my own way from a young age and decided on West Ham being an Essex kid and seeing games like this on TV!I also remember driving away from Wembley with a can of beer in one hand, what on earth was I thinking of.
