It still is an olympics stadium isn't it ?
Is that aimed at me or just a question to answer a question? I just assumed there would be some football fans on this thread who visit places like Man City and could shed light on what they've done to turn an athletics stadium into a football stadium that prevents home and away fans fighting?
Regarding the CIty stadium I'm guessing that there never was any plans for the stadium to every host athletics events meaning that they could make changes to the set up which I believe West Ham cannot.
I believe I am right in saying that West Ham do not own the stadium & that they only get to use it for a certain amounts of days in the year.
Of course I could be wrong .

I think there is something in place that makes it a running track first and a council football pitch second. when you look into the figures and just how little the porn bros have paid to get a superdeluxe running track on the cheap, you csn understand That is one of the reasons it is called the London Stadium.
ManC on the other hand took over a not wanted as a running track anymore and turned it into a decent footy stadium.
Just take a look at the astro turf that is laid over the track to hide it!
Still if you pay peanuts.........
Spurs IIRC wanted to bulldoze the whole site and build something decent. Turned down because of the olympic legacy or some such crap
Willing to be put right though
So cutting thorough the superfluous snide remarks it's because the OS has to remain as a general purpose stadium whereas City's place has been fully converted. Thank you. That said, I've seen cloth covering seats between rival fans used all over the place and you don't get morons clambering across. Perhaps it's just West Ham and Chelsea who have the most boneheaded idiots.

No snide comments from me sir.
They will need to do something before the Spurs game that's for sure.
We have loads of Boneheads.

Indeed I know that. And yes we lease the ground and it will indeed host rugby, cricket and athletics too. Oh, and Sully made money from cheap porn and Gold owns Ann Summers. :snigger: I'm only here for the football. And, finally I wish we'd been able to develop the Parcel Force land at West Ham but Ken "bloody" Livingston slapped a Grade 1 Listed status on a blooming rusty gasometer so scuppered that one The fans would still have fought though...

This West Ham witchhunt is getting beyond stupid now. It was blindingly obvious that away fans with any sort of firm would try and cause a bit of mayhem..... The jealousy surrounding us because we got it cheap it is beyond belief, and yet the very same people are saying it's st.
There was 7 arrests.... There was as many at Ladies Day at Ascot this year.
As much as I hate the Daily Wail, there's a really good piece by Martin Samuel that puts it in perspective.

I'm not sure it's jealousy, but there is certainly resentment. Personally, I am livid about the deal, because as a taxpayer I have no wish to subsidise my own club, let alone someone else's. But I don't hold it against WHU or their owners. It's Boris, the government and the rest of the idiots that I'm angry about. WHU took advantage of the situation, and you can't blame them for that. They're business people.
The Taxpayer's Arena is your home now, so enjoy.
Apparently we're going to ban 200 so called 'fans'.

I hope they carry it out. Presumably Chelsea will do the same with their scum too? It can't be hard to identify the moron stood on the isolated area openly goading supporters. http://www.90min.com/posts/4018237-200-west-ham-su...

How the fk were only 7 arrests made? Unbelievable.Unless they make two hundred arrests for throwing handbags going "Ggrrrrr" then that's the result.
