Next England captain, if he goes that route. Should certainly make sure the owners don't see a quick financial win and take £50m from City. But yes, what a day for him, very grounded and becoming such a complete player well before his peak years.
In an interview Antonio all but confirmed Arnie is going in January, still cannot get my head around why Arnie feels that winning a trophy in China is a must do for him. Hardly the pinnacle of football the level of the game over there. Not much around in January that would be a decent buy, if we let Arnie go then we should be looking £50m+ anything less and we would look like mugs as teams like Bournemouth quote £75m for Wilson etc.

Funny I was thinking that but with Anderson and Nasri in the midfield it would leave us a bit light I think and without replacing a proven goal scorer with another. Also his salary would be £150k+ which is not the right message to send to the rest of the squad. I think we need to dip into Ligue or Serie again and pull another great product out, anything in the Prem in January is going to be grossly overpriced.

Can't see us letting him go unless we've someone lined up to come straight in... and the Arnie situation's been resolved. Nasri will potentially work really well w/ Hernan as well (nicked that one from MOTD) so be a shame to not see that as well.
Apparently he took a huge wage drop to go to the US. I am not sure he is Pellegrinis type though?

Chico is back in training as well which is a nice bonus.
Noticed that earlier - think I saw him play a couple of times as a sub soon after he'd joined. Assuming we sell for more than we paid I'm happy with that though - earns for the Club & presumably during the loan period we could recall anyway if he suddenly looks decent (although given where he's going I assume that's the last we'll see of him). Chico is back in training as well which is a nice bonus.

Great memories of a great day out, my lad in the academy and being given ticket numbers A1and A2 pitchside,the pubs beforehand, the underground singing,should have been 3 down after 15 minutes, a fully fit Carlton, Greeno’s unbelievable save after 2 mins, the noise,seeing tackles that wouldn’t be allowed now, Tom Ince being booed then shutting us up,still being in the bog when Blackpool scored,the feeling when Ricardo got his 24th of the season to win it.Being on the tele behind the camera when CC got his goal and screamed into it, and watching it back and seeing the pair of us jumping like lunatics during the pitchside interviews.
Seems like yesterday, but when you compare the quality in the squad to today, light years away.

At the time, on a Saturday whenever WH scored, if I was at my desk I would broadcast Bubbles throughout the building on the phone system tannoy.
At the finaI whistle I was asked to knock it off as Bubbles was accompanied by me shouting "Get the f
k in there". Apparently an old couple taking delivery of a new car weren`t amused when it came out of the salesmans phone speaker at the desk they were sitting at.

Late fitness call on Wilson for the weekend, do hope the guy doesn't make it into their squad.
Apparently rumours going around about us signing Dzeko I hope as a short term solution rather than some fanciful idea he is a replacement for Arnie. Although there are also nicer rumours about us going after Piatek at Genoa who is a very good player and at his peak, be a good purchase if we get him but looks like he is going to AC Milan.

Search through the usual bigger publications plus a list of fan sites and a few useful posters on twitter (exwhuemployee etc) - makes for some fun discussion and pretty sure I have come up with my own Shelvey in Stansted moments too
