He is good, and he's had his challenges this season (injuries, players acting the tt etc. etc.), but we're so inconsistent again (appreciate that's nothing new) - until he resolves that we won't be able to progress much further.

Seventh should of been nailed on weeks ago but we've screwed up our chances to secure it again & again - several of our results have been really poor (and predictable - Cardiff & Burnley away in particular recently) this season.

The semi-final cup draw also highlights just how st losing to Wimbledon (FFS) was.

That being said we've also had some very good results - Manure, Arse, scousers @ home, etc.

April could be horrible though w/ Chelski, Man U & spuds (new stadium) away - Leics at home w/ new manager.

I think some of the inconsistency could be down to a few things:

-Central midfield isn't strong enough to overcome determined well drilled lower teams
-Injuries have left the team much less rested than other teams i.e. not getting proper breaks when getting a knock/rushed back etc
-Defence is up and down, both full back positions need sorting out, Balbuena is hugely important
-Arnie situation has been damaging, he needs to be sold in the summer

I think you only have to look at Spurs and how their form fell apart when Kane got injured and Son went off to a tournament in Asia.

Declan turns up to England training carrying a West Ham carrier bag, love it laugh

Imagine the Irish will be fuming though, in an interview he mentions that he is 'looking to the future and forgetting the past' can imagine that will ruffle a few Irish feathers.

Appears that game's on ITV so I'll hopefully be able to see him make his debut on Friday.

The media are now publicising something Rice said on Twitter when he was 15. A throw away comment supporting Ireland, actually quoting an IRA song but probably as a Londoner not realising the significance. Of course it's the biggest scandal imaginable for Sky Sports because that's their job, to make a story.

Yes I also heard about that.

We all did and said stupid stuff when we were 15. Luckily for me there was no internet when I was that age so there’s no record.

I’ve no idea what the kid is alleged to have tweeted five years ago, but if he didn’t “realise the significance” of it, it was probably because he was fifteen at the time, nothing to do with him being a Londoner.

Yeah he has already publicly apologised, Southgate has said so too and the FA see the matter closed as they have written a letter to him. It was in reference to supporting his team mates as a 15 year old and not understanding it had political impact. Funny thing is it was never noticed whilst he was an Ireland international but as soon as he switches to England you have the media scrutinising everything looking for a story, sad fact of life of the desperate and sad press in this country.

If there had been social media when I was 15, in the 70s I'd still be banged up!
