...and on that I see more reports online this morning that we are really going after Medel, a 31 year old guy who turned us down previously. Lets hope that isn't the marque signing of the summer!
Rumour is that there's only going to be £25m for signings... we'll get about £50.00 for ttface at the moment so appears MP will have little to work with. Agree though, not interested in pursuing anyone that's previously said no, or endlessly chasing the same targets.
Dust not settled yet but Mitrovic?

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Proper striker.Agree though, not interested in pursuing anyone that's previously said no, or endlessly chasing the same targets.

Unless there is a clause in his contract can imagine a few suitors for him, probably going to be all our reported budget getting him.
Then we have no fullbacks and a midfield woefully short. I presume if we managed to get £35m+ for Arnie (which we should take in a heartbeat) we can spend some of that.

Nobody will be surprised that Arnie’s not happy.

fk him. Been indulged already. https://www.claretandhugh.info/pellegrini-admits-a...
Arnie’s brain clearly isn’t right at the moment but I’d stick with him for now.

A very grumpy Arnie complaining about being subbed after another goal-less game
Masuaku looking hilarious making me wonder at 44 maybe I could make a comeback and play for us
Fabianski keeping the score down by 2 or more goals each match to keep it respectable
Persisting with Ogbonna because he might get a headed goal to atone for the 3 or 4 goals he is at fault for

Looks like we’ve seen the last of Andy Carroll:-

I think it will be a particularly barren month in terms of points gained - I’ll be very pleasantly surprised if we get more than 2.
This... and suspect two points might be optomistic... Another ste season.
Yes an under-achieving season where having a boat load of players in the squad with questionable fitness records have impacted the consistency of the team. You only have to look at what happened to Spurs when they lost Son Alli and Kane for a few weeks they dive bombed.
There is a lot of disruption in the team at the moment, I think once we clear the decks again this summer it might improve.

I’ve been thinking and saying that for years but it never seems to happen.I went to my first home match in 1966 (we lost), over 50 years ago. In that time we’ve always had a ‘spiritual home’ about half way down the top tier. We’ve dropped into the second tier a few times over those years but recovered relatively quickly. We’ve also threatened the top teams once or twice but ended up with a nosebleed.
Will it really ever change for the better? I live in hope.
