So the "big" teams get all the decisions go their way, and VAR will put an end to this injustice! rofl

First 45 we did as well as could be expected.Pep obviously gave his lot a rocket, couldn’t understand Ant coming off halftime unless he tweaked something.
What with Wiltshire coming off,we were suddenly all over the place, 1nil was fair at 45, 5nil was fair at 90.

Likewise & no (listened on radio).

Regardless of 'it's cittee' losing 5-0 at home on the first of the season's unacceptable IMO.

Unsurprising crap defending. Symptomatic of the coming season. Can’t say we didn’t see it coming

I don't get the point you are making. Declan Rice encroached into the penalty area and one of Sterling's goals was offside. What am i missing?

None of us did. Manager & owners ignored problems as usual.

Your missing the fact that those in favour of VAR say the big teams get all the breaks, and VAR would level that bias out. I've never thought there was any big team bias. Liverpool will get more pens than Norwich this season because they will spend 20 times as long in the opposition penalty area. The first 2 games with VAR haven't levelled out anything. both the "big" teams have won easily.

Oh, I see. As you say, I didn't get that from your original post.

That was always going to be the outcome of VAR.

I'm not a fan of it, but if it corrects most of the poor decisions that have gone against us (and other teams (unless playing WH wink) over the last few seasons (offside goals that weren't, offside goals that were, red cards that weren't given etc) that would be good.

Guess ruling out an offside goal today was a start rolleyes pity the others were all OK & WH were utter wk.

Not sat through a game with it in action though, so will have to see when I'm next at the ground.

Watched the game, thought you guys were really poor. Early days but thought you'd be in the fight for best of the rest.

I reckon with an extra 500 million quid we’d have had a chance..

I thought in the first 20 or so minutes you lot were pretty good and the stats were fairly equal. After the first goal you fell apart though. There was a bit of a resurgence after the 3rd goal was, correctly, ruled off side but that didn’t last either.
Sergio is not the best penalty taker (Sterling is just as bad) so thumbs up to VAR!

Might need more than three or four players though.

Shame there wasn't an oilfield on Green Street.
