Nice to see Cresswell put in a performance. That’ll give the gaffer a problem picking the left back next week.
I’d go so far as to say it was his best performance sine his injury.
Wasn’t a below par performance anywhere ,I’d probably agree that Nobles just pipped a few for MOM.
You could also make a case for Yarmolenko. I wouldn’t want to call it between them.

Hrrmmph!

Technically, we're ahead of them on goal difference. They haven't played City yet.

Well Lanzini seems to be out for 3-4 weeks, so looks like Fornals will get a run in the side. Might help his form.

Fredericks and Anderson minor knocks...f

Anderson looked pissed off when he was subbed.

Hopefully neither of them serious.

We really missed Lanzini in the first half - Fornals someway off; assume he'll play on Wed (away to Oxford in the League Cup) and again at the weekend.

Bournemouth away's going to be very tricky.

I just want us to get through the Oxford game without too many more niggling injuries, we have a decent head of steam now but the bench looks a little light so we need 8-9 core players playing consistently.

Interesting stat this morning on BBC that under Pelle, if Noble plays we win 49% of our games, if he doesn't we win 17% - or something to that effect, anyway we do need Nobes fit and playing!

As usual though, hardly any mention of another clean sheet and another win for West Ham on MOTD2 last night and more about how Man Utd lost.

Anderson got a bking from Diop a couple minutes before he came off for not tracking and he pointed to his leg, so prob pissed off about being injured rather than being taken off.
Didn’t think Fornals did too much wrong, played it all a bit safe but it’s only his second PL start.
Fredericks is really growing, still has a tendency to commit a bit early but there some real promise there now.
How bloody good was Rice again?...that lads positioning and strength is astonishing for his age.
Him and Nobes utterly bossed it.
Wilshire also did exactly what you want a sub midfielder to do when coming on to close a game out.
Good times at the mo’

There are some extended higlights on a certain website (about 10 mins long) which I was watching last night which showed a moment when Rashford burst past Diop and looked to be bearing down on goal on the left side then out of nowhere Rice came flying across and whipped the ball off a confused Rashford and played it back into our midfield. Brilliantly read. Happy for dimwitted fans (like those Man Utd fans who slated him after the England games saying McTominay is a much better player hahaha) to slate him and for him to stay as long as possible at West Ham.

I missed the Diop/Anderson bit; no need for him to play v. Ox so rest until weekend & hopefully he'll be fine.

Agree on Fredericks - be a loss if he's out; coming good now; assume Zab will start on Wed.

Think it was towards the end & Rice was still charging over to cut out Man U balls in their half, (although given how ste their passing was he probably could've saved his energy biggrin

Man U supporting colleague's rather quiet this morning.

Shame Lanzini’s out for a while, we miss him and so far I’ve not been impressed by Fornals.

Snodgrass only got on for a short time but I loved the way he got stuck in.

So who should we put in at left back against Bournemouth?

Tough call but if Fredericks is out (injury pending) and is replaced by Zab it's got to be Masuaku for his pace on the other side?

If Fredericks is OK then stick w/ same team.

Anyone watch the football awards last night? Saw that Messi won again and interesting seeing the stats of him and Ronaldo stacked up, now either Ronaldo has suddenly lost the ability to score 50+ goals a season getting a miserly 31 in the italian league, or you do wonder just how easy is it to win in la liga vs other top european leagues. As much as Messi and Ronaldo are freaks of our time, I do wonder what their astonishing goal achievements would look like if they didnt play in a division where any team outside the top 6 are about on par with English Championship teams.

Looks like Andy Carroll has another injury:-

I liked him but glad we made the decision to move on.

Defo. Time was up for both parties. Best of luck to him (unless playing us obvs).

Haller offers so, so much more.

100% teams are still thinking they have an aggressive unplayable 25 year old on their hands, when in fact he is now an injury ravaged wreck who will play a handful of games whose touch and skill is just rusting away like a old Jap car with no underseal parked outside by the sea. He is championship level if that, there are so many players that have come on the scene that do what he does and some.

Harsh. A fit AC on his day was/is a top level striker. Much better player on the deck than he was given credit for.

His main strength IMO was forcing defences to double up on him creating space for others to play in and he knew where the goal was.

Sad that his body can't cope with the stresses of the game and he didn't help himself either on or off the pitch.

Could/should have been England`s No 9 in a similar way that Ashton could/should/would have. Sad case of what might have been.

I hope he has a decent few years back home before he jacks it in.
