That's the season & I've not put a fking tree up yet.
Thought the st we were served up under grant was bad, fk me.
Shower Of s, top to bottom.
We actually did ok for 45 minutes ... arsenal were utter garbage. As soon as they scored we fell to pieces... again.Thought the st we were served up under grant was bad, fk me.
Shower Of s, top to bottom.
The amount of times we turned the ball over on the first half the wasted it by going sideways or backwards afterwards was shocking. As was the three first half thrown ins where we managed to lose the ball without actually touching it.
Obvs pellers showed them his holiday snaps, did fk all & we rolled over again. Think that's last four (?) home games we've shipped three.

To be honest we were playing this bad at the end of last season, and that form has just carried through.
Pelle was on borrowed time 3-4 matches ago, if he is still in charge come Southampton then the board surely have just accepted to keep their hands in their pockets and take relegation. Surely even they must see us bottom of the form league, are going down, there is no turn around here. The team that they have assembled doesn't have the grit to grind the matches out.
Pathetic.

Presumably someone coaches the players and they watch videos etc
Bepe, left footed, good shot = show him the outside line, don’t whatever you do allow him to cut inside onto his left, no?
To be fair you have been equally awful, just arsenal have a coupe of decent forwards
This 100%.Bepe, left footed, good shot = show him the outside line, don’t whatever you do allow him to cut inside onto his left, no?

Screamed that at Arthur as soon as Pepe got the ball.
Absolutely criminal.

Seriously good players spent 15 years trying to show Arjen Robben outside when they all knew he wanted to cut inside and shoot, It's really not as simple as it sounds.
Seriously crap players beat matsuaku regularly so cannot see how on earth he was going to defend against someone half decent. We have spent years watching him wander around aimlessly at the back - cannot wait for his book 'The great defensive con - how to earn a living doing something you have almost no ability at and still get paid'coldel said:

We all know that Arthur really isn’t a left back but Cresswell was injured so what was the alternative?bad company said:

Selling him last summer, not giving him an extended contract, bringing in a younger hungry back up to Cresswell? This isn't with the benefit of hindsight either, it's clear he isn't fit for purpose yet gets rewarded. If he isn't a left back he shouldn't be playing at a club as a left back and getting a huge salary for the privilege.
I might have mentioned it at the start of the season once or twice

Nah don't buy that. I played for many years as a very average but quick right back at Sunday league, you instinctively know where to stand such that inside is a tackle, outside is running race and a narrow angle. You could see he just needed a single step to the right and he is fine. He may get beaten by a great bit of skill but he he has done his simple job correctly

This season has all the hallmarks of the Bilic last season all over again. We will lose to Southampton next up as they are scoring goals again and arent getting beat easily, we have the worst form in the division by some margin now so an easy target and our manager is just putting out the same team and same instructions each game - very predictable and looking for a result based on hope than any actual tactical approach.
I just cannot see how Pelle's job is tenable right now - we were sliding before the summer and nothing was done to arrest all the defensive frailties that were there for all to see long before this season started.

Might not then have picked up the injury.

Of course it’s not “as simple as that”. But you do the basics right, which is giving him something to think about and try and make him do something he doesn’t want, not stand off and give him all the space he wants to do what he wants. I watch this bloke every week, he’s probably been partly responsible for 6/7/8 goals this season already, not bad for someone who’s only played half the games. If he had keepers gloves on the crowd would tear him a new one like they did Roberto.sjc said:
