I think we will now. No points from the next 2 games and if the others pick up points we'll be right in the mire. This time it could be like a Leeds or Notts Forest, a long time down. Lost 8-0. Have to say I havent seen WHU Ladies before but the level is really poor, I mean really poor. I think a WHU U-16s would put them away comfortably. The last goal right in front of me where they crossed it really badly our defender hit the clearance (the ball was dribbling along at no more than 5mph) she managed to contrive to kick the ball onto the inside of her own standing leg then it went through her legs to their forward who scored. The three goals prior to that were all of the theme of the Martin/Balbuena episode against Sheff Utd, repeated balls ups. It really was worse than school boy stuff.
It does seem symptomatic of our club and lack of professionalism at it, at half time three of our ladies were out messing around doing keepy uppies whilst eight of the Chelsea lot were out doing high speed drills with two coaches.
Worst thing was after yesterdays result, and having been at the game today my boy said he doesn't want to support West Ham anymore

Yeah unfortunately the days of kids dreaming of supporting local teams and feeling the community are long gone and they are attracted to heavily financed teams that spend their way to the top. Im not old, but old enough to remember the spirit of the game, its all very commercial now.
