Er ... how long have you been supporting West Ham to come up with that optimism?!!!
40 years and I can honestly say this is the best I've felt about a West Ham team in the last 20 years, I feel like they have a genuine chance of winning every game they play at the moment. And I'm riding the wave! The 1960s when I started supporting; the FA Cup, the European cup Winners, The World Cup, Hurst Moore and Peters...
The 1980s John Lyall era during which we reached 3rd in the First Division and in my opinion, the best Hammers team I have seen - you know who they all were
The 2000s with DiCanio and the FA Cup final but there were also some terrible lows so we are due another wave to surf on!

It's smashing that our supporters are riding on the wave of euphoria. It does seem to happen every 20 or so years!

Then we’ve had periods managed by top bosses such as Lou Macari, Glenn Roeder & Avram Grant. The 1960s when I started supporting; the FA Cup, the European cup Winners, The World Cup, Hurst Moore and Peters...

Several times over the years I’ve thought this is it, we’re going to become one of the elite sides. Then there’s a reality check.

Well we`re only 24 points above the bottom three so not sure there`s that much to cheer about.
After all Antonios hamstrings are the only thing between us and armageddon, Lingard has peaked, Soucek and Coufal are probly here on faked work permits and we`re probably gonna get docked 20 points for Snodgrassgate.
Possibly.

in all seriousness since we got a proper scouting team and not the chairman’s kid, we’ve made some blinding signings. Really surprised how Benrahma slipped under the radar of other teams, although my Brentford supporting brother in law texts me about him all the time, so maybe it’s just a thinking bias from me on that one..!
Makes you wonder doesn`t it. I`m not entirely convinced by Brahma. Whilst clearly a talent with the ball and works hard without it, is there something about him that has scared clubs away?
I just have a vague suspicion there may be trouble ahead with him. I hope not.

On a free .
Watched Fulham WBA and Fulham can certainly break fast and effectively, although when pressed they went to pieces and couldn't string a pass together. Mind you they are proving harder to beat now. Will be an interesting game if we can impose early, press, get an early goal, it gives us every chance of nabbing that 4th spot back.
Interesting thing came up on Twitter earlier analysis showing Said Benrahma per 90 mins covers more ground than any other premiership midfielder.

I did a similar analysis on Lingard. Apparently he`s scored more goals per 90 mins than any other premiership loaner / poor signing / Man Utd cast off / waste of space / can`t see where he fits in / won`t get a game / 100k a week sthouse.

Early goal key - took 90 mins to score in the home game against Fulham. TCEvo said:

Absolutely, in the WBA the longer the game went on and they had possession they looked reasonably good and dangerous on the attack. Pressure their back four in possession though and they went to pieces, hopefully we wont sit too deep and push up and repeat. Hammer67 said:
