Quite a lot of opinion out there on Rice still...how people like Andy Townsend cannot see how hypocritical they are being is beyond me. Ireland are you could say the poachers here, they have scouts who contact young players who are dual nationality and turn their heads early utilising FIFA rules - the fact the tables have been turned and a player had his head turned back using those same rules obviously doesn't matter to Townsend. Muppet.
So looks almost certain Wilshere is out for the season, so will have cost us over £5m for him to play his 3 and a bit games this season.
Talking of midfielders Fernandes is having a storming season over in Italy, I wonder if there is the option to bring him back and give him another go? If the buy out clause isnt activated.

In other news, Claret & Hugh blog believes AC will not be offered a contract extension, at very best he will get a pay as you play option but most likely will be leaving the club. Given the amount of support he has had from the club to put in just 130 appearances over nearly 6 years, he shouldn't be complaining. We cannot afford to have 2 squad spots given to such injury prone players, we are stuck with Wilshere for another few years but have to offload AC.

Agree. Time for both parties to move on. Pity we can't offload Wilshere at the same time. Friday will be interesting, I really want us to turn up and batter Fulham. I'm sure RichB feels the same, I'd imagine the stick from family would be unbearable if we got rolled over by them
