Look at Zlatan! You can see how much it means to him... I reckon we'll see him sign for another season.

The only positive is the win. Chronic game of football.
If you can't see that was a brilliant game for tactics and doing what's needed, must have done a lot of homework, Ajax had nothing.
Sitting back and soaking up the pressure from a bunch of novice kids and scoring two scrappy goals is hardly elite tactics. Man Utd should be playing teams of that standard off the park.

They weren't even good enough to win the Dutch league. Their game was riddled with basic football mistakes tonight. The best player on the park was a guy who isn't good enough for Chelsea.

It's a European final, you play to win, not to look pretty.

Jose got this spot on - his tactics made Ajax look poor - and the reality is that we should have had at least a couple more.

Congratulations. That has to be the most average, uninspiring, two trophy season on record.

hehe

Still, I'm pleased for you and Manchester.

clap
3 trophies out of 5 in Jose's first season not bad at all and we don't have to qualify for the champions league unlike the bin dippers (only joking) 😂

The best Ajax player tonight was De Ligt, a 17 year old home grown defender who will play for Real or Barcelona between now and 5 years.

Than you've seen a different game, besides the two lucky's United created nothing and fully adapted to Ajax.

Ajax made Ajax look bad. If you can't pass 5 yards or throw the ball in to a sensible area you're always going to have issues. It was simple things they did wrong. Most of it was unforced.

Ajax looked poor against Lyon too. They should have been hammered in France.

Is it surprise tactics from Jose? He normally does that against better teams, but this was Ajax.

I must have been at the toilet when Man Utd missed these other chances. I didn't see them in the highlights either????

So immensely pleased for the team and Jose, great win, amazing to get CL next year.

Football still very much taking a back seat tonight though with recent events. A perfect fk you to the idiots, this city and every other in the UK will continue, will be strong and will continue to defy your pathetic ideology because we are England, and we don't bend or break.

You have to see that's been a fantastic first season for Maureen. Two trophies, Champions League football and a real platform to build on this transfer window. They are far from world beaters but fans can look forward with renewed optimism for 2017/18.

Out of interest, where does this leave the United/Liverpool trophy count at now?

I think we're ahead, but it's not really important.

The important thing is that we don't have to go through qualifying and are straight into the group phase.

It's also worth celebrating being the only British team to have won every club trophy - league title, FA Cup, League Cup, European Cup / Champions League, Cup Winners Cup, Europa League, European Super Cup and World Club Cup.

Well chuffed, an average squad in the midst of rebuilding delivers numerous trophies. Charity Shield (doesn't count but did anyone else win it?), Rumbelows / Milk / Littlewoods etc Cup well the Scousers claim it, Europa League (not the one that matters).

As much as I've slagged off our team and trophies, we won them. We are United

United.

I can understand all the haters picking faults with yesterday's performance as it wasn't a pretty game.
But a good solid winning performance.

Apart from consistency all we've need this season is a conversion rate to mate any of the top 10 teams (15 draws... is that a record for a premiership team ?) and we would have been easily challenging the title imo.
Very frustration with the lack of goals from midfield and the likes of rashford.
I'd rather see Martial play consistently as much as it pains me to say....

A lot of crazy money going to be spent this season by all clubs.
Zlatan, griezeman, martial and pogba would be a nice prospect.

I actually think Zlatan might come back for another, it won't be fitness that let's him down - we know he'll still be a beast come August.

He seemed well up for it last night despite being out for over a month.

Then look at all of our crutches, if they were all fit too we'd have some decent choices.

Probably it for Rooney?
