Surely triggering his buyout clause and him putting in a transfer request is enough?!

He supposedly is fed up being a runner up and wants to move somewhere he can win trophies.
A transfer ban stops AM strengthening and would push him further to the door imo.

No idea, but it sounded like United were trying to negotiate a lower price. Now there is no chance of that.

Rooney's last game for Utd was months, if not years, ago. Every match since then has looked like a cringe-worthy testimonial for someone who retired 3 years ago and hasnt touched a ball since.

Looks like alpine was right, journos tweeting that he is not our main target and a no.9 is now our main target due to zlatans injury.

Gotta have been a club briefing. Every media outlet reported it within a few mins including BBC.

The meltdown on Redcafe is amusing.

We've know about Zlatans injury for a while now so why the sudden cool down? Don't understand it really but there's obviously a reason and things must be going on behind the scenes smile

Sounds more like a reaction to Atleticos ban being upheld.

He was on Jose's list as soon as he joined United. He has now looked at the team, had a season with them, and decided we have enough number 10s, and PP will play number 10, and what's needed is a number 9. I can't say I disagree with him. I think the Zlatan thing is a red fish.

It's got something to do with with A.Madrids ban. Lot of 'chatter' going on that the reason is AM won't let us pay in installments they want the £86 million in one go.

Right... So Jose just woke up this morning, realised he could play one of the Worlds most expensive players in the number 10 role and they didn't have to buy Griezmann after all. And the second part of this epiphany was that he suddenly remembered his main striker became injured 2 months ago and so they should probably buy one of those instead!?

Alpine mentioning it a few days ago sort of shatters that.

Rumours a few days ago were that Atleticos ban was going to be upheld. The official news this morning shocked no one.

Got to say I agree that we have enough No.10's and if Zlatan isn't going to renew then we need another No.9. Mbappe would be the obvious choice but would cost a fortune!

Thank you. So unless you think United knew of the ban before the start of the week, I'd suggest it has nothing to do with it.

Jose would be better going after Lukaku. He only plays hump it up to the big man anyway. If you give him a footballer like Martial or Miki,he just ruins them.He is better with big thick cloggers.

Well seeing as it was an appeal against a ban, they've known about it for quite a while now!
