Jose not happy with Ed getting the transfers done seemingly....
If Woodward was given a list in March then it's pretty crap that it's a few days before the tour and things are not finalised.
Woody is inept at dealing with transfers. Hopefully he delivers what Jose wants, but will he, and at what price? If Woodward was given a list in March then it's pretty crap that it's a few days before the tour and things are not finalised.

I thought it was Jose who decided (on the same day) that he didn't want him after all?
I think that was probably spin from the club to try and stop it from looking like Griezmann turned us down to stay at Atletico (due to the ban and not wanting to leave them in the lurch). It will probably still happen, just next summer instead - it looks like Costa is bound for Atletico, eventually, but that might be holding up the transfer of Lukaku to Chelsea etc. It's all a chain, sometimes. In the same way Ronaldo's buggering about at Madrid has probably complicated the Morata deal etc. I'm sure these things are never as simple as turning up with a big red pot of cash and haggling.
Seems like Wayne is off to Everton on a free, if the Sun is to be believed (I know, I know), which probably is the best outcome for all concerned. Legend, but time to move on. Does put a little more pressure on numbers though up front.

We've got Rashford, Martial and looking like Morata up top. Maybe Zlatan too if we keep him post injury! Well yes, it could look like that and it would be a good lineup for the season... but right now only Rashers and Tony getting on the plane to start pre season. Kinda hoping this season we would hit the ground running with new signings bedded in, but so far that's still looking uncertain. Fingers crossed on Morata, and then hopefully we can make an informed decision on Zlatan in time to do something about it if he doesn't look like being an option (for whatever reason).Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
